24 Speaker Setup For the best possib le sur round sound , all the speak ers other than the subwoofer should be the same distance from the listening position ( A ). Ho wever , if necessary , this system allows y ou to place the centre speaker up to 1.6 meter s (5 feet) closer ( B ) and the r ear speak ers up to 4.

Getting Star ted 29 Presetting Radio Stations Y ou can preset 20 stations for FM and 10 stations for AM. Before tuning , make sure to turn do wn the volume to minimum. 1 Press BAND repeatedly until the band you want appears on the front panel display .

31 Playing Discs Playing Discs Depending on the DVD or VIDEO CD , some oper ations ma y be different or restricted. Refer to the operating instructions supplied with your disc. 1 T urn on your TV . 2 Switch the input selector on the TV to this system.
32 Resuming Playback from the Point Where Y ou Stopped the Disc (Resume Play) When you stop the disc, the system remembers the point where you pressed x and “RESUME” appears on the front panel display . As long as y ou do not open the disc tray , Resume Play will work ev en if the system enters standby mode by pressing 1 .
33 Playing Discs Notes • Depending on where you stopped the disc, the system may not resume pla yback fr om exactly the same point. • The point where you stopped playing is cleared when: – y ou tur n the pow er off by pressing POWER on the system.
34 Playing VIDEO CDs with PBC Functions (PBC Playback) With PBC (Playback Contr ol) functions, you can enjoy simple interactiv e oper ations, search functions, and other such operations. PBC playback allows y ou to play VIDEO CDs inter acti vely b y f ollowing the menu on the TV screen.

59 Other Operations Controlling the TV Y ou can control your TV using the b uttons below . By pressing Y ou can TV [ / 1 Tur n the TV on or off. TV/VIDEO Switch the TV’s input source between the TV and other input sources.
