2 How to Subscribe and Activate XM WX The AS WX 1 Satellite W eather Receiver requires a monthly subscription from XM WX Sa tellite W ea ther®. Before the AS WX 1 Satellite W ea ther Receiver can be used on the wa ter , the subscription must be activa ted on your Humminbird® contr ol head.

Installing the AS WX 1 Satellite W eather Receiver Use the chart below to determine the appr opriate mounting method for your AS WX 1 Satellite W ea ther Receiver .

3. Screw on the receiver base to the stem first, making sure that the stem pipe does not protrude fr om the r eceiver base. T his adds protection to the cable when pulling it through the pipe stem.

5. Align the AS WX 1 Satellite W eather Receiv er’s scre w holes over the pilot screw holes and a ttach with the #6 - 3/4” Phillips head screws. Hand tighten only .
2. Confirm that the cable length is adequate and route the cable from the r eceiver to the Humminbird® contr ol head. If holes ar e r equired to route the cable, they must be 3/4” (19 mm) to allow for the cable connector . 3. The AS WX 1 Sa tellite W eather Receiver has two wire routing notches.

T he Current Wea ther refreshes every 2 minutes and includes visibility , winds, weathe r/precipitation, temperatur e, and road conditions.

NOTE: While you are moving the cursor , you might notice that weather data is not available. T he weather data stays with your boat as you pan, however , once you press the INFO k ey , you can view the weather data for an y area you choose. W eather Legend, Icons, and Select Readouts In both the W eather Vie w and the Char t/W eather Combo View , wea ther conditions are identified by the colors on the chart, the icons on the chart, and the information displa yed in the Select Readout windo ws a t the bottom of the view .
The Icons displayed on the chart in W eather V ie w or Chart/W ea ther Combo Vie w identify current and potential weather conditions, as well as informati on r elated to the AS WX 1 Satellite W eather Receiv er equipment. Signal Strength: Str ong Reception = 4 bars, and Weak Recep tion = 0 to 1 bar .
Select Readouts display current and forecasted w eather conditions in the digital readout boxes of your Fishing System. The Select Readouts appear on the Sonar V iew in the 700 Series™ and in the standar d readout boxes in the 900 Series™ and 1100 Series™.

T he Menu System The Menu System is divided into easy-to-use menu modules, and the available menu options will vary with the Humminbird® model. The main components of the menu system ar e as follo ws: • Start-Up Options Menu: Press the MENU k ey during the power on sequence to view the Start -Up Options Menu.

The Simula tor is a v ery pow erful tool that pro vides a randomly-upda ted display which simula tes on the water operation.

34 Loop Pla yback (788c-ci, 786ci, 798c-ci, 900 Series ™ , and 1100 Series ™ only) Loop Playback shows the most recent 60 minutes of weat her data in a 15 second playback on the Wea ther Vie w . This function is useful for observing weather pa tterns (see V iews: Loop Pla yback f or details).
Split P osition (900 Series ™ and 1100 Series ™ only) Split P osition allows you to adjust the size of the left side of th e Combo V iew . Y ou can also adjust each side independently b y first selecting the view in the Active Side menu option. The number setting indicates the per centage taken up by the left side of the Combo V iew .
Select Readouts (Setup Main Menu: Advanced) Select Readouts menu option allows you to set the information tha t will be displayed in each of th e fi xe d-p osi ti on d ata w ind ows a rran ge d around the left and bottom edges of the screen, or whether a particular windo w will be turned off, displaying nothing in that area.
V iews Menu T ab From any view, press the MENU key twice to access the tabbed Main Menu, then press the RIG HT Curs or key un til th e Views ta b is selected. This menu tab allows you to set the av ailable views to Hidden or V isible in the vie w r otation.
XM W eather Submenu (Accessories Main Menu) Highlight XM W eather in the Accessories main menu, and press the RIGHT Cursor key to access the XM Wea ther submenu, which includes the follo wing options:.
Legend Legend allows you to turn the weather legend on or off . Y ou can still vie w the color s on the W eather view , but y ou will ha ve more space on the vie w to see the data . T o turn on/off the W eather Legend: 1. Highlight Legend on the XM Wea ther submenu.
XM Inf o XM Info displays an inf ormation box with the XM Radio ID and subscription activation status. T o view XM Info: 1. Highlight XM Info on the XM W eather submenu. 2. Press the RIGHT Cursor key to vie w the Radio ID and a ctivation status. • T he Radio ID is the set of upper case, alphanumeric characters shown under XM Info.
