Glossary GB3 • Antenna A de vice that collects and radiates electromagnetic wa ves. Includes a satellite dish and abroadband antenna. • Forward Err or Correction(FEC) A system of error control f or data transmission. • Frequency The number of cycles or e vents per one second, which is expressed in the unit of Hertz(Hz).
All our receivers are designed to be DiSEqC 1.0 compatib le. This allows multiple antennas to be connected to the STB simultaneously . If you ha ve two or more fix ed antennas or LNBs, y ou can use a DiSEqC 1.0 s witch. 1. Connect the coaxial cable from the first LNB to the LNB 1 or LNB A input connector of the DiSEqC s witch.

To enter the TV Guide mode Press the EPG ( )button on the remote control unit or select the TV Guide on the Main Menu. To select the TV/Radio Guide Press the TV/Radio( )button on the remote control unit and TV Guide will be s witched to the Radio Guide.
Shows the inf or mation of programmes that will be pla yed f or a week. Select a da y you w ant using the buttons . To w atch and reser ve a progr amme you w ant, do the same steps with the Now/Ne xt mode. Shows the progr amme lists that you ha ve already reser ved on the TV Guide or Inf or mation Bo x.
Guide of Main Menu Y ou can set a parental guidance rating to each progr amme in this mode. 1. When the OK b utton is pressed after selecting the highlighted parental control on the initial menu screen, a displa y window f or entering the PIN code will appear on the centre of screen.
Select the language f or menu, audio or subtitle. 1. Select the highlighted language setting using the buttons in the system setting mode and then press the OK b utton. 2. Select the highlighted Menu(or A udio , Subtitle) Language and press the buttons and the language list will be displa yed.
Guide of Main Menu Y ou can set the Current Time and W akeup Time in this mode. Fur ther more, the Service Number in the W akeup Time mode and Sleep Time(standby mode) can be set. When a VCR is connected, recording can be automatically done according to Wak eup/Sleep Time Setting.
Set the video mode f or the TV SCART output. Set the audio mode which is output from the TV SCART and RCA/Cinch Jac k.(Stereo/Mono) Select the aspect ratio of TV which is connected to STB (4:3 or 16:9). Select the f or mat which the video is to be displa yed on screen.

3-2. Ser vice Organising This menu giv es users access to options that allow them to organise their Networks, TV Ser vices and Radio Ser vices. ** The default PIN code is . This mode allows users to Delete , Mov e, Loc k, Skip and Rename TV Ser vices.

The Organise Radio Ser vices functions same as TV Ser vices e xcept that it uses Radio Ser vices. Y ou can delete or mov e Radio Ser vices and change the attr ibutes of them. The Organise All Ser vices lets the user Delete, Mo ve , Look, Skip or Rename Radio Ser vices on the All Radio Services list.

1. Select the L.O . F requency that is set to antenna. 2. Use the buttons to select the LNB frequency(Univ ersal, 5150, 9750, 10600, 10750, 11475MHz or 0, 1, ......., 9). 3. If the required LNB F requency is not availab le, then select “0” and enter the frequency manually using the NUMERIC b uttons (0~9).

When you find all the ser vices, the f ollowing picture appears. 3. Bef ore saving it, y ou can select the ser vices you w ant to delete.
GB30 Set the search parameters(F requency , Symbol Rate, etc.) to manually find the services that you hav e selected in the transponder . The bar on bottom of the submenu shows the signal le vel and signal quality(BER) of the entered parameters. Select the target antenna f or Manual Search.

When you select “Y es”, you can find more transponders using the home network. • As it ref ers to NIT during searching, if there is the frequency inf or mation of other transponder , it searches the other transponders besides the transponder that the user inputs .
GB32 A utomatic Search When you enter the Satellite Name that is set in Antenna Setting menu, search all of the selected satellite without inputting the e xtra frequency .

GB34 3-4. Status Displa ys the information of H/W V ersion, S/W V ersion, Loader V ersion and so on. Shows the Signal Le vel(A GC le vel) and Signal Quality(BER) of the current ser vice and is help to the initial antenna setting.

Conditional Access This menu allows the user to vie w the information on the Smar t Card and Viaccess conditional access system such as general Smar t Card Information, Ser vice List, Change Maturity Rating, Change PIN code. Y ou can see the Unique Address, so user Address , Current Maturity Rating of the Smar t Card.
GB36 This menu allows the user to vie w and change information on the Smar t Cards such as av ailable entitlements , Maturity Rating and PIN Code. Besides, you can vie w the mails from programme providers . Card label will be displa yed as issuer’ s name on the TV screen.

Default setting When you press the OK b utton at the screen, the data of system setting will be changed into the def ault values and some F ree-T o-Air ser vices of ASTRA1 will be stored in replacement of all services f ound. If you press the EXIT b utton, the function will be cancelled and return the Installation menu.
Guide of Main Menu GB39 DiSEqC 1.2 User Instructions If you ha ve a DiSEqC 1.2 motorised system, then y ou can use the DiSEqC 1.2 functions av ailable . The follo wing instr uction describes how to use the DiSEqC 1.2 functions to store the positions of the satellites and to search for the services(ST AB Rotor Sat motor recommended).
GB40 3. Initial Satellite P osition Search This is required when you first set y our receiver up to use DiSEqC 1.2 and sets the positions of all pre-programmed satellites . 1. Make sure your motor is installed correctly with the calibr ations adjusted for the region y ou are situated.
Motorised System GB41 6. To set the East Limit: a) Select Mov ement and use the buttons to mo ve y our motor East or W est until the motor is at the position you wish to use as your East Limit. Use the buttons to stop the motor at the correct position.
GB42 Once you ha ve stored the positions of the satellites y ou want(see left below) you can no w search for the services transmitted from them. Before y ou can do this, you must mo ve the motor to the position of the satellite you wish to search. T o do this, you m ust access the Satellite Settings menu.
Motorised System GB43 It is possible to use automatic search using the DiSEqC 1.2 motorised system. 1. Ensure that the positions for the satellite y ou want to search is correct.(see Section 3 and 5 abov e) 2. In the Main Menu, select the option channel searching and press the OK b utton.
