Features of the Printer Controller Features of the Printer Controller The printer contr oller is an image controller designed to use the machine as a printer , allowing you to print documents directly to the machine from a computer to which the printer controller is connected.

If your computer is directly connected to the machine, select "Local printer" and then click the [Next>] butt on .

NOTE If a paper size that does no t match the paper loaded in the machine is selected, the machine will give a message th at pr ompts you to add pap er in Drawer1, entering a standby state.

4. "Adv anced" P ro perty Shee t 3-15 Pr o perty Sheet Chapter 3 TIPS • The setti ng pr eview s hows the co rr espon ding icon. • The distri bution n umber is r ese t to 000 upon r each ing 999. (2) W atermark Allows you to print specific char acters as a watermark in the b ackground.

"Ad vance d" Prop erty Shee t 3-16 Pr o perty Sheet Chapter 3 (4) OHP Interleaving When printing on several sheets of OHP transparencie s at one time, it is a good idea to insert a sheet of pap er between sheets of OHP transparencies. This paper may be l eft blank or have the sam e data print ed on it as t he OHP transparencies.
4. "Adv anced" P ro perty Shee t 3-17 Pr o perty Sheet Chapter 3 (5) Cover M ode Lets you place a front cover and a back cover in each o f your copy sets. Th e front co ver may be le ft blank or have data printed o n it. • Paper Source : Select the paper source for the text pa ges.

4. "Adv anced" P ro perty Shee t 3-19 Pr o perty Sheet Chapter 3 "W atermark" Dialog Box The "W atermark" dialog box allows you to select the text to be inserted by the W atermark function and its style.

5. "Gr aphics" Pr operty Sh eet 3-22 Pr o perty Sheet Chapter 3 (3) Halftone Allows you to select the desired gray -scale dithering method. • None : Does not perform di thering. Pr int resu lts will have no gray gradati on. • Coarse : Performs coarse dithering.

6. "PostScrip t" Property S hee t 3-29 Pr o perty Sheet Chapter 3 (3) Ctrl+D Informs the machin e of the start and completion of the current p rint job. • Send CTR L+D before job : Send Ctrl +D before the job. • Send CTRL+D after job : Send Ctrl+D after the job.
