9 English 1.2 Intr oducing the TV Y ou can watch SECAM/ P AL/ DVB-T broadcast, cable, or digital television chann els, and easily connect a VCR, STB or DVD player to the SCART , HDTV ( Component ), A V(Composite), and HDMI in put ports (locations of these ports depend on the model).

16 English 1.7 Inser ting the Remote Control Batteries 1 Open the battery compartment cover at the back of the remot e control. 2 Insert the batteries paying attention to the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. 3 Replace the battery compartment cover .

20 English 2.2.2 Connecting to A V Devices The following diagram illustrates how to connect the A V devices to your TV via HDMI (A), YPbPr/AUDIO (B), SCAR T (C), A V/SV (D) ports. Note: • Plea se connect the audio ports shown in YPbPr/AUDIO (B) to audi o ports of Component/YPbPr group in your A V device.
21 English 2.2.3 C onnecting a V CR/ STB/ D VD Play er Using Component V ideo/Audio, Composite Vide o/Audio, or S-Video/Audio Connect the TV to a VCR/ STB/ DVD pl ayer using three different types of video/audio inputs.
22 English 2.2.4 Connecting a PC using V GA Connect the TV to your PC to use it as the monitor using the VGA port as shown. 1 Connect the VGA port of the TV to the VGA outp ut of the PC. 2 Connect the line out port of the PC to th e PC Audio In port of your TV to listen to audio from the PC.
23 English 2.2.6 Connecting HDMI HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interfa ce) assures that the best video signal is always sent from source to the TV . Refer to the following illustration to connect a HDMI device to the TV . 2.2.7 Connecting USB Service port, for DTV F/W update only .
24 English 2.2.8 C onnecting a V CR/ STB/ D VD Play er using SCAR T Use the SCART ports to connect a TV , VCR, VCD, DVD player or video game console. Y ou can choose to use a SCART cable or adapter for the connection depending on the ports availa ble on your player .

Th e power LED indica tor on the TV chan ges from red to gree n, indicati ng that the TV is on. 2 Press again. The p ower LED changes f rom green to red, indicat ing that the TV i s off .
26 English 3 Adjusting On-Screen Display (OSD) Settings The On-Screen Di splay (OSD) menu system provides a qui ck and simple method to adjust the TV settings.
27 English 3.1 OSD Set ting Menus Follow the i nstructions indicated on the down side of the OSD Function Menu. Press P S / P T on the control panel or / to scroll through the menus, VOL + on the control panel or to select an item, or MENU to exit the OSD menu.
