Chapter 2 Installation 18 Step 3 Install CPU In m ost cases, the CPU is already installed in the m otherbo ard. Follow the procedures in this step to install the CPU if it is not present, to replace a def ective CPU, or to add a second CPU. Warning Improper CPU installation can damage the CPU and the m otherboard.

Standoffs and m ounting s crews are not su pplied with the m otherboard.
