23 Connecting Exter nal Speak ers and Headphones Headphones or externa l speakers may be used to listen to the TV instead of the built-in speakers. Connect your h eadphones to the speaker/head phone line out port as illustrated. Notes • External speakers or headphones are not included with the product.
24 Connecting the P ow er Adapter 1. Connect the power cord to t he power adapter as illustrated. 2. Plug the power adapte r connector into the DC-IN on the rea r panel of the TV . 3. Insert the three-pronged plug at the other end of the powe r cord into a powe r outlet.
25 Using the R emote Control For best results, use the remote co ntrol within a dist ance of 5 meters from the front of the TV’ s signal sensor . Do not exceed an an gle of 30 degrees when pointing at the signa l sensor . Refer to the following illustration.
26 T ur ning the TV On and Off 1. Press the POWE R button; the power indicator LED changes fr om red to green, indicating that the power has been turned on. 2. Press the POWE R button again; the power indicator LED chang es from green to red, indicating tha t the TV is in standby ( off) mode.
27 Switching Source Signals Press the SOURCE button on the remote control or the TV button on the control panel to select the incoming source signal. The current source setting CH XX appears on the top lef t corner of the screen, A V1 or A V2 appears on the bottom right corner of the screen.

40 Mute 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Mute. 2. Press the MENU bu tt on to enter the Mute submenu. 3. Press the CH UP button to turn the mute off. 4. 50 Sleep Timer The sleep timer turns the TV of f automatically after a set pe riod of time. 1. Press the CH DOWN button o r CH UP bu tt on to select Sleeper . 2. Press the MENU bu tt on to enter the Sleeper submenu. 3. The screen displays the available sleep timer setting: Of f, 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes.
