S TA R T - UP P ROCEDURE AND A DJUSTMENT The cooling system manufacturer’s instructions must be checked for required air flow . Any electronic air cleaners or other devices may require specific air flows, consult installa- tion instructions of those devices for requirements.
S TA R T - UP P ROCEDURE AND A DJUSTMENT 7. Select the heating speed for your model from the heating speed chart in the S pecification Sheet. The adjust setting (already established by the cooling speed selection) determines which set of speeds are available.
COMFORTNET™ SYSTEM ECM motor . If the outdoor unit or thermost at is responsible for determining the demand, it calculates the demand and transmits the demand along with a fan request to the indoor unit. The indoor unit then sends the demand to the ECM motor .
COMFORTNET™ SYSTEM Four wires are required between the indoor unit and thermo- stat. NOTE: Use of the CTK01AA transformer is recommended if installing a dual fuel/fossil fuel system. Failure to use the transformer in the outdoor unit could result in over loading of the furnace transformer .

O PERA TIONAL C HECKS & S AFETY C IRCUIT D ESCRIPTION H EATING M ODE The normal operational sequence in heating mode is as fol- lows: • R and W1 (or R and W1/W2) thermostat contacts close, initiating a call for heat. • Integrated control module performs safety circuit checks.
O PERA TIONAL C HECKS & S AFETY C IRCUIT D ESCRIPTION • Gas valve opens at end of igniter warm up period, delivering gas to burners and establishing flame. • Integrated control module monitors flame presence. Gas valve will remain open only if flame is detected.
T ROUBLESHOOTING & M AINTENANCE Burner Flame S AFETY C IRCUIT D ESCRIPTION A number of safety circuits are employed to ensure safe and proper furnace operation. These circuits serve to control any potential safety hazards and serve as inputs in the monitoring and diagnosis of abnormal function.
M ISCELLANEOUS F AULT R ECALL The ignition control is equipped with a momentary push-button switch that can be used to display the last six faults on the dual 7-segment LED’s. The control must be in S tandby Mode (no thermostat inputs) to use the feature.
M ISCELLANEOUS B URNERS Visually inspect the burner flames periodically during the heat- ing season. Turn on the furnace at the thermostat and allow several minutes for flames to stabilize, since any dislodged dust will alter the flames normal appearance.
