When used with the 3ware 96 90SA RAID co ntroller , the BBU control module is mounted on the RAID controller and the battery pack is installed on a remote batt ery board.

The battery can be mo unted in 3 dif ferent positions, as marked on the board (see Figure 14). Use the position that will make it easiest to connect the batte ry power cable to the BBU control module on the 3ware RAID controller .
