4 0 DVD Recor der+VCR User ’ s Guide A bou t Re c o r di ng About Disc T ypes/F ormats • DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+R W discs are always f ormatted in “ Video” mode— the same as pre-recor ded DVD-Video discs. Once finalized, you can play DVD-R, DVD+R, or DVD+R W discs in most regular DVD play ers.

4 7 E di ti ng O pt io ns Adding C hapter Markers +R, +RW , -R W ( VR) Y ou can divide your titles up in to chapters by adding chapter markers during playback or recor ding. 1 Pr ess DISC MENU/LIST . 2 Select a recorded title and press PLA Y . 3 During playback, press ADD CHAP t o add a chapter marker at the current playback position.

4 9 Deleting Titles/Chapters +R, +RW , -R, -RW ( Video), -RW ( VR) There are tw o places to delete titles and chapters: Pla ylist Menu (DVD-R W only) - If you delete a title or chapt er from the “Playlist” menu, it is only r emoved from the playlist; the title/chapt er remains in the “Original” menu.
