10 Registration YOU MUST REGISTER THE HANDSET TO THE MAIN BASE BEFORE USE! 11 PHONE SET TING Set display language, set area code, register the handset to the base unit , name the handset , deregister the handset or reset to default setting. DISPLA Y SET TING Choose a preset or downloaded image to be wallpaper of the idle display, set the contrast and color scheme.

15 Set Contrast This feature allows you change the contrast of the text display ed and the background. From the DISPLA Y SE T TING menu; 1. Use the 6 or 5 button to scroll to SET CONTRAST . . Press the SELECT button to enter the menu. 3. Use the 6 or 5 button to scroll to the desired contrast , 1, 2 or 3 .

1 Do Not Disturb (DND) This feature allows you to turn off all the handset ringer(s) at once,by pressing one button at the base unit , even though the ringer volume of handset(s) has been set to HIGH or LOW . 1. In the standby mode, press the DO NO T DISTURB button on the base.
3) While in room monitoring mode, the initiating handset can listen with the handset speakerphone by pressing the SPEAKER butt on once. Switch back to the earpiece by pressing T ALK/CALL BACK button once. Press the *EXIT button to end room monitoring.
3 Using Intercom with External Telephone Calls During a telephone call, you may use the intercom/paging f unction to page another handset and have an off line, private (two-w ay) intercom conversation.
4 Call Transfer Transferring Calls to Other Handsets During an external call, you may transfer the external call from handset to handset . 1. During an external call, press the INT button to enter the inter com menu. . List of register ed handsets shows on the display.
5 • When y ou hear the call waiting beep in the handset receiver , press the FLASH/DELE TE button to put the current call on hold and answer the incoming call. Press FLASH/DELETE again to return to the original call. CID Error Codes Various Caller ID error messages may appear on the display.

Chain Dialing from Phone Book Use this feature to make calls which r equire a sequence of numbers, such as a calling card number used for a frequently called long distance number .

33 Cued-up music typically produces the best sounding recor ded ringer . It is recommended to begin recor ding your ringer at the beginning of a song, rather than a portion from the middle to produce an audibly pleasing custom ringer . 1. Make sur e your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
34 3. V erify the cable/headset is connected to your handset , then press the SELECT button again to start the count-down display. The handset will start recording and the second number will decrease automatically. 4. The recor ding will stop when the display counts down to 0 seconds.
35 IMPORT ANT NOTE: When you want to use the handset microphone to record ringer tones, DO NO T insert the Audio cable or the optional headset into the headset jack of the handset . Choosing the Recor ded Sound Clip as Ringer T one Refer to Section; "T elephone Setup/Sound Setting/Ringer Tone".
