BIOS Setup 5 BIOS data resides in the syst em ’ s CMOS m emo ry . W hen the sys t em i s p ow ere d o n, B IOS d ata is c op ied or “ shado wed ” into the system ’ s dynamic memory and the system runs using BIOS parameters stored in dyn amic m emory .
BIOS Setup 6 Using BIOS S etu p 3 Once BIOS Setup is started, you can us e BIOS Setup to change your sy stem ’ s BIOS se ttin gs. The BIO S Setup screen consists of a m enu bar, menu items, a command bar, and a window for item-specific help as shown in Figure 3-1.

Using CMOSRD WR 26 Using CMOSRD WR 3 The CMOSRDWR co m mand line allows you to read the system BIOS CMOS contents into a s pecified file, then write the contents into another identical system that uses the same BIOS version. Any number of BIOS configurations can be stored using this command, either on the system hard disk or on removable media.

Universal Se rial Bus Por t 50 Universal Ser ial Bus Port 6 The pen tablet provides a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port that is compliant with the Unive rsal Ser ial B us Specification Revision 1.0 . The USB port is a powered USB hub and can suppo rt concurrent operation of up to 127 devices.
