2 Y ou’ve purchased the Safe Embrace ® II Convertible Car Seat with Easy & Secure LA TCH (Lower Anchors and T ethers for Children) System. The Easy & Secure LA TCH System makes it possible for you to install this car seat in your vehicle simply by connecting hooks on the car seat to special anchor points within your vehicle.
W ARNING Proper installation and use depends on you! If you do not follow the instructions in this Instruction Booklet or the Owner’ s Manual, your child could be at risk of striking the vehicle’ s interior during a sud- den stop or crash, resulting in serious injury or death.
What are Special Anchor Points? Special anchor points are a pair of inverted “U” shaped metal bars attached directly to your vehi- cle’ s frame. These special anchor points are locat- ed where the vehicle seat bottom and seat back meet.

Unhook the Easy & Secure LA TCH System from the back of the car seat. Loosen the Easy & Secure LA TCH System straps. Press the release button on the Easy & Secure LA TCH System buckle and pull the strap attached to the car seat tube. Repeat this procedure to loosen the other strap.
