6 Installation instructions Before y ou start Safety and compliance These instructions are intended as a guide only . I t is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that installation complies with applicable regulations and local gov ernment by-laws .
7 Installation instructions T echnical data Check the electrical data on the rating label (located on the left-hand side of the dishwasher ’ s stainless steel inner door). Should the data on the rating label be differ ent to those specified below , consider those on the rating label as corr ect.

T o prevent possible steam damage to the cabinetry , ensure that any bare wood surrounding the dishw asher is sealed with an oil-based paint or moisture-proof polyurethane.
10 1 2 4 3 Installation instructions Lev elling and positioning the dishwasher Before sliding the dish washer into position, adjust the feet with a spanner (1) to ensur e that the dishwasher is level (2) and the r equired height. Do not lift the dishwasher from the door handle or top panel .
11 Installation instructions Plumbing -- W aste connection These drainage options are designed t o eliminate problems that occur with combined sink-dishwasher waste systems . Drainage option A: Separat e sink and dishwasher wast e systems The standpipe must have a minimum diamet er of 38 mm and stand 750 mm above the floor .
12 Installation instructions Plumbing -- W ater inlet c onnection Impor tant! The appliance should be connected to the w ater main using the new water inlet hose supplied . Old hoses should not be used. Do not shor ten the inlet hose. 1 T ake note of water connection requirements .
13 Installation instructions Electrical connection The dishwasher must not be connected to the electrical supply while installation is being carried out.
14 Introduction Before y ou start Make sure the installer has completed the ‘Final checklist’ in the Installation instruc tions. Read this manual thoroughly , tak ing special note of the ‘Safety and warnings ’ section. Remove all the packaging and check that you hav e all the accessories listed below .

19 Delay start This featur e can delay the start of a wash programme by 1 to 12 hours. T o activate Delay star t: 1 Load the dishes , add detergent and close the door . 2 Press to turn the dishwasher on. 3 Select the wash programme. 4 P ress the delay button.
20 T o star t a wash programme 1 Make sure that the dish washer is powered on . 2 Check that the wash programme displa yed is the one you would like t o use. If not, see section ‘Changing the wash pr ogramme. ’ 3 Once the display sho ws the programme you w ould like to use, press to start the programme.

22 Changing the wash progr amme - C C models CC MODELS Note: The dishwasher will r emember the last programme used. 1 Make sure that the dish washer is powered on . 2 Scroll to highlight the ic on of the wash programme last used. 3 Press to enter the wash programme menu .
23 This featur e can delay the start of a wash programme by 1 to 24 hours. 1 Load the dishes , add detergent and close the door . 2 Press to turn the dishwasher on. 3 Check that the display show s the wash programme you r equire. If not, see instructions for ‘Changing the wash pr ogramme’ .
24 Changing the wash zone - C C models CC MODELS If you don ’t have a full load and want to sa ve energy and water , you can choose to wash the lower basket or upper basket only . T his may be useful if , for example, you only wish t o wash the breakfast dishes which are in the upper basket.

26 Caring f or your dinnerware The combination of high temperatur es and dishwasher detergent may cause damage t o some items if they are washed in the dish washer . Remember , if in any doubt about any aspect concerning items washed in the dish washer , follow the instructions from the manufacturer of the items, or wash the item b y hand.
27 Loading DOs DON’ T s Arrange the dishes neatly , spacing them evenly for maximum exposur e to water . Remove an y large food particles before placing dishes in the dishwasher . This is to prevent the filters fr om becoming clogged. Pre-soak any pots and pans with baked-on residue.
28 Loading Upper basket and utensil tra y Adjusting the height of the upper basket - CE models The upper basket is desig ned to hold items like glasses, cups , saucers, plates , small bowls and shallow pans. Use the utensil tra y to securely hold long or sharp items like knives, chopsticks, or ladles.
29 Loading Adjusting the height of the upper basket - C C models Y ou can adjust the height of the upper basket even when it is fully loaded, as you do not have to r emove it from the dishwasher . T o lift the basket, hold it on one side and carefully pull upwards until it clicks into place.
30 Loading Low er basket Cutlery basket Place the largest items her e: pots, pans, lids , ser ving dishes and bowls. F old down the tines to place pots and pans flat on the bottom. Ensure dishwar e items do not block the spray arm above from rotating .
31 W ater hardness and dish washing What is wa ter hardness? Hard water is water with a high conc entration of minerals such as calcium and magnesium. In soft water , this concentration is low .
32 The quantities in the table below are f or powdered det ergent and typical levels of soiling. If your home has softer or harder water , or to suit the par ticular load, you ma y need to adjust these quantities. If you are using tablets, f ollow the tablet manufacturer ’ s recommendations .
33 Adding det ergent Impor tant! Only use detergents recommended for automatic dishw ashers. Dishw asher detergents are strongly alkaline. They c a n be extremely dangerous if swallowed. Av oid contact with the skin and eyes and keep children and infirm persons aw ay from the dishw asher when it is open.
34 Using rinse aid W e highly recommend using liquid rinse aid regularly to get the best drying results. Rinse aid gives a streak -free, sparkling clean look to glass and chinaware .
35 After the wash When the wash programme is ov er , the dishwasher will beep six times , then automatically turn off in a few seconds . In CC models, a drying fan will continue to run for about an hour , or until the door is opened. 1 Open the door slightly and leav e it ajar (about 100 mm) to help the dr ying process .
36 Car e and cleaning Over time, food r esidue or limescale deposits may accumulate inside your dish washer . These may reduce efficiency , and food r esidue may produce a bad odour .
37 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the filters The filters prev ent larger food particles in the wash water from reaching the pump . These particles may occasionally block the filters. W e recommend cleaning the filters whenev er there is evidence of f ood par ticles.
38 F ault codes F ault codes and descriptions Possible causes What to do E1 The door is open The door has not been properly closed or steam has for ced it open. Close the door firmly . E2 Sensor fault The temperature sensor is faulty . T urn the water and power t o the dishwasher off , then call Customer Care.
