DVS 204 • Introduction 1-2 Introduction About this Manual This manual discusses how to install, configure, and operate the Extron DVS 204 digital video scaler and how to operate the optional IR 901 infrared remote control (part #70-152-01).

If Executive mode has been enabled on the DVS 204, input selection and adjustments can still be made from the IR 901.

A-5 DVS 204 • Appendix Firmware Upgrade Installation In some cases, the DVS 204’s firmware may require replacement with an updated version. There are three user-replaceable firmware chips: U41 — the main microcontr oller , U38, and U17. The numbers are printed on the cir cuit board.
