5 Daily Operation • Do not operate any electrical appliances in the refrigerator/fr eezer (e.g. electric ice cream makers, mixers etc.). • Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance and disconnect from the electricity supply . • When unplugging always pull the plug from the mains socket, do not pull on the cable.
6 Remove T r ansport P ackaging The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for transport. • Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces fr om the interior of the appliance. Disposal of Old Appliances For environmental reasons, refriger ation appliances must be disposed of properly .

11 T emperatur e display The temperatur e display can indicate several pieces of information. • During normal oper ation, the temperature currently present in the fr eezer (ACTUAL temperatur e) is displayed. • When the temperatur e is being adjusted a flashing display indicates the freezer temperatur e currently set (DESIRED temperatur e).
12 Switching the Appliance off To switch off, hold down the ON/OFF button for appr ox. 5 seconds. This will result in a countdown from "3" to "1" taking place in the temperatur e display . On reaching "1" the fridge will switch off.
13 Fr esh Food Refriger ation To obtain the best performance: • do not store warm food or evaporating liquid in the refrigeator • do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour . • P osition food so that air can circuiate freely round it.
14 • Please note the maximum storage times specified by the manufacturer . • Thawed foods which have not been pr ocessed further (cooked into meals) may not under any circumstances be frozen a second time. • Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures.
