LC- XC 1 2 TO THE OWNER Before operating this projector, read this manual thoroughly and operate the projector properly. This projector provides many convenient f eatures and functions. Operating the pro jector properly enables you to manage those fea tures and maintains it in better condition for a considerable time.

LC- XC 1 8 This projector uses nominal input voltages of 100-120 V or 200-240 V AC. T he projector automatically selects the correct input voltag e. It is designed t o work with sing le- phase power systems hav ing a grounded neutr al conductor. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not plug into any other type of power sy stem.
LC- XC 1 9 POSITIONING THE PROJ ECTOR LENS SHIFT ADJUSTMENT The projecti on l ens can be moved up an d dow n wi th the mo tor-d rive n lens shift functio n. Th is fu nctio n makes it easy to provide the projected i mage where you want. The U/D ratio can be adjusted 10 : 0 1: 3 (refe r to th e fi gure b elow .
LC- XC 1 10 ADJUSTABL E FE ET Picture tilt and projection angle can be adjusted b y rotating the ADJUSTABLE FEET. Projection angle can be adjusted to 9.0 degrees. 1 Lift the f ront of the projec tor and pull t he F EET LO CK LATCHES on both sides of th e projector.

LC- XC 1 25 COMPATIB LE COMPU TER SPEC IFICATIO NS Basically this projector can accept the signal from all computers w ith the V, H-Frequency mentioned below and less than 180 M Hz of Dot Clock. W hen the input si gn al is from the COMPUTER I NPUT- i (DIGIT AL) terminal, refer to the chart below.
LC- XC 1 26 This Projector can automatically tune t o the display signals from most personal computers currently distributed. However, some computers employ special signal formats which are different from th e standard ones and may not be tuned by the M ulti-Scan system of this projector.

LC- XC 1 29 NORMAL FU NCTION The normal picture level is preset on this projector at the factor y and can b e restore d an ytim e you press the NO RMAL button (located on the Top Control or on the Remote Control Unit). The “Stand ard” d ispla y will be d ispla yed on th e scr een f or a few seconds.
LC- XC 1 30 The position of the image can be adjusted vertically and horizontally through PICTURE POSITION ADJUSTMENT. 1 Press the MENU button and the ON-SCREEN MENU appear. Press the POINT LEFT/RIGHT buttons to select POSIT ION and pr ess the SELECT button .
LC- XC 1 31 This projector has a picture screen resize fu nction, which enables you to display the desirable image size. 1 Press the MENU button and th e ON-SC REEN ME NU will appear. Press the POINT LEFT/RIGHT buttons to select SCREEN ~ and press the SELECT button.

LC- XC 1 35 NORMAL FU NCTION The normal picture level is preset on this projector at the factory and can be restored anytime you press the NORMAL button (located on the Top Control or on the Remote Control Unit) . The “Standard” display will be displayed on the screen for a few seconds.
LC- XC 1 36 1. Press the MENU button and the ON-SCREEN MENU will appear. Press the POINT LEFT/RIGHT buttons to select SETTING and press the SELECT button. Another dialog box SETTING MENU will appear. 2 Press the POINT DOW N button an d a red- arro w icon will appear.

LC- XC 1 38 The W ire less R emote C ontrol Unit is no t only able to opera te th e proje ctor b ut also usab le as a wi reless mouse for most Personal Computers. T he POINT butt ons and the two CLICK buttons are used for the wireless mouse operation.

LC- XC 1 41 CLEANING ThE PROJEC TIO N LENS Follow these steps to clean the projection lens: 1 Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a s oft, dry cleaning cloth. Avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner. Abrasive cleaners, solvents or other harsh che micals might scratch the lens.
