2.2 Inserting the batteries This video camera is designed to use AAA alkaline batt eries or a rechargeable Li-Ion batt ery. O nly use the batteries supplied or similar batteries recomm ended b y th e manufa cturer or your dealer . • Note : Installing the battery incorrectly could cause damage to the camera and possibly st art a fire.
2.3 Turning on the video camera Press and hold the power button to turn the video camera on/off. 2.4 Changing modes The video camera can operate in three m ode s, Movie , Photo , and SET .

4.2 Movie playback menu Use the playback menu to manage th e files stored in the internal memory or on th e SD card. 4.2. 1 Delete Use this function to delete files. 1. Turn the video camera on and ensure it is in Movie mo de. Press the Playb ack but ton and then press th e MENU butto n to displ ay the Movie Playb ack menu.
If you select Delete All , press the scroll wheel inw ards to display the submenu. 3. Use the scroll wheel to select √ and press th e scroll wheel inwards to delet e . 4. Press the MENU butto n agai n to e xit the menu. • Note : Once deleted, files cannot be recovered so make sure you have a backup before you de lete.
4.2. 2 Protect Use this function to lock files to prevent accidental delet ion. 1. Turn the video camera on and ensure it is in Movie mo de. Press the Playb ack but ton and then press th e MENU butto n to displ ay Movie Playback menu. 2. Us e the scroll wheel to select the Pro tect opt io n.
4.2. 3 Autoplay Use this fun ction to continuously play all movie clips stored in the memory card. 1. Turn the video camera on and ensure it is in Movie mo de. Press the Playb ack butt on and then press the MEN U butto n to displ ay the Movie Playb ack menu.
4.3 Photo menu In Phot o mode, press the MEN U button to show the Phot o Options menu. 4.3. 1 White balance Use this option to correct color difference due to lighting conditions. 1. If you select Delete All , press the scroll wheel inw ards to display the submenu. 3. Use the scroll wheel to select √ and th en press the scroll wheel inwards to delete. 4. 4.4. 3 Slide s how The camera includes a slide show function, which displays each image in turn with a regular int erval between pictures. 1. Turn the video camera on and ensure it is in Photo mode . Press the Playb ack butt on and then press the MEN U butto n to displ ay the Phot o Playback menu .

5.2 Presto! Mr. Photo Presto! Mr. Ph oto is an advanced phot o editing software application. To install Presto! Mr. Photo: 1. Insert the supplied CD into the CD-ROM drive. 2. If the CD-ROM does not automatically boot, use Windows Explorer to execute the InstallMgr.
