T wo power supplies ar e installed and the second power supply provides hot-swappable, power redundancy .

76 Installing Sy stem Components Sy stem Memory Y our system supports up to eight du al-rank re gistered DIMMs (RDIMMs)of 1067 MHz or 1333 MH z. The system contains eight memory sockets split into two sets of fou r sockets, one set per processor . Each four -socket set is or ganized into three channels.
Installing Sy stem Components 77 • The memory speed of e ach channel depends on the memory configuration: – F or single or dual-rank memory modules: • One memory module per channel supports up to 1333 MHz. • T wo memory modules per channel supports up to 1067 MHz.
78 Installing Sy stem Components Optimizer (Independent Channel) Mode In this mode, all thre e channels ar e populated with identical memory modules. This mode perm its a lar ger total memory capacity but does not support SDDC with x8-b ased memory modules.

Repeat step 2 through step 12 of this procedure, to ensure that the memory modules ar e firmly seated in their sockets.
