Page 7 Recommendations for freshfood compartment • Please do not let any foods come into contact with the temperature sensor in the freshfood compartment. In order to maintain t he freshfood compartment at the ideal storage temperature, the sensor must not be interfered with by any foods.

Page 9 Placing and Installati on If the entrance door of the r oom where the refrigerator is to be installed is not wide enough for t he refrigerator to fit through, then call a n authorized service centre and have them remove the doors of your refrigerator in or der that t he refrigerator can fit sideways through the door.
Page 10 Using your refrigerat or 4 Indicator Panel The touch-control indicator panel allows you to set the temperature without opening the door of your refrigerator. Simply touch the relevant button with your finger to set the temperature. 1. Fast Freeze Button 2.

Press this button again to deactivate the selected function. 2- Freezer Compartment Temperature Setting Button Press this button to set the temperature of the freezer compartment to -18 °C , -20 °C , - 22 °C , -24 °C , -18 °C .
Page 12 12- Quick Freeze Function Indicator Indicates that the Quick Freezer function is active. Use this function when you place fresh food into the freezer compartment or when you need ice. When this function is active, your refrigerator will run for 6 hours without stopping.
Page 13 The freezer compartment Deep-freeze information • Food must be frozen as rapidly as possible when placed in a freezer to maintain its quality. • It is possible to keep food for a long time period only at temperatures of -18 degrees C or lower.
Page 14 W a ter Dispenser (some models) The water dispenser is a very useful feature with regards to accessing c hilled water without having to open the door of your fridge. Since you do not have to open the door of your f ridge frequently, you also save on electricity.
Page 15 The safety lock is intended to provide ease of usage when filling the water tank and at the same time to prevent little children from tampering with the water dispenser. Cleaning the water tank Release the tank cover from the water t ank by opening the latches on both sides.
Page 16 Sliding Body Shelves The sliding body shelves can be removed by lifting them up slightly from the front and the shelves can then be moved back and forth.
Page 17 Crisper The crisper of your refrigerator is designed to keep vegetables fresh without losing their humidity. For this purpose, cool air circulation occurs around the crisper. Remove the door shelves that align with the crisper befor e r emoving the crispers.
Page 18 Replacing the light bulb • Contact your nearest Defy service centre to arrange for a technician t o replace your refrigerator light bulb. Owner ’ s responsibility • Do not damage t he refrigerant circuit.
Page 19 Symptom Check The refrigerator does not operate. • Make sure the refrigerator plug is securely plugged in. • Check for a blo wn fuse or tripped circuit breaker. • Test the wall socket for po wer using another appli ance. • Inspect the electrical co rd for damage.
Page 20 Symptom Check Freezer temperature is very low while the fridge temperature is sufficient . • The freezer temperature i s adjusted to a very lo w temperature. Adjust t he freezer temperature to a warm er degree and check. Fridge temperature is very low while the freezer temperature is sufficient.
Page 21 Symptom Check Condensation on the inner walls of refrigerator. • Hot and humid weather increases icing and condensation. It i s normal and not a fault. • Doors might have been l eft ajar; make sure that the doors are fully closed. • Doors might have been opened fr equently or left ajar for a l ong time; open them less frequently .
