Crestron MC2E 2-Series Professional Media Controller 2-Series Professional Media Controller: MC2E Introduction Features and Functions The Crestron ® 2-Series Pr ofessional Media C ontroller (MC 2E) is designed for smaller home and comm ercial systems.
2-Series Professional M edia Controller Crestron MC2E 2-Series. The real-time, preemptive multi- t asking/multi-threaded operating system offers a file system that supports long file names. The enhanced SIMPL+ ® instruction set is also fully compatible with existing Crestron SIMPL Windows and SIMPL+ programs.

Crestron MC2E 2-Series Professional Media Controller Power Supply The unit can be powere d through the NET co nnector, or by the included external power pack (PW- 2410RU) or the optio nal power pack PW-2420R U. With the PW- 2410RU, the MC2E can provide power t o peripheral Cresnet de vices (via the NET connector) up to a total of 14 Watts.

NOTE: The Viewport utility performs multiple system tasks, primarily via an RS- 232 or TCP/IP connectio n between the control system and a PC.
Crestron MC2E 2-Series Professional Media Controller TCP/IP Connection Before communicating with the MC2E over TCP/IP, the static IP address must be obtained fr om the net work adm inistrator. The R S-232 connect ion previo usly described must be used to configure the unit’s TCP/IP settings.

T his should display a win dow that gives t he IP address and port number. Troubleshooting Communications Use the follow ing checkli st if comm unication cannot be establ ished with t he MC2E.

Crestron MC2E 2-Series Professional Media Controller Analog Input Mode In analog input mode, the Versiport is typi cally tied to a resis tive load (such as a humidity sensor) or a voltage source (both ca n be represented by box "A" in the Versiport diagram).
