14 15 B ASE OVER VIEW 1. B ASE DISPLA Y • In idle: shows the clock status. • "_ _ _ _" will ash if the time is not set; ":" will ash when the time is set and running. • In base speak erphone volume adjusting mode (during a call): the middle tw o digits show the base speak erphone volume lev el.
16 17 The screen displa y gives y ou information on the curr ent status of the telephone. The speak erphone is turned on. While re viewing the call list history , missed calls that ha ve not been r eview ed. The ringer is switched off. New v oicemail receiv ed from the telephone ser vice pro vide (network subscription is r equired).
18 19 The following table sho ws you where each letter and punctuation character can be found. This will be helpful when storing a name in the directory . In editing mode, a cursor is displa yed to indicate the cur rent text entr y position. It is positioned at the right of the last character entered.
20 21 V olume Control (earpiece and speak erphone) During a call: Press <UP/DO WN> to increase or decrease the listening v olume. The current setting is shown. When the volume r eaches the minimum or maximum setting, you hear tw o beeps. When you end the call, the setting will remain at the last selected lev el.
22 23 6. Call from the Call Log 1. In idle mode, press <DO WN> to access the call log. Alternatively , press <MENU/SELECT> to access the call log fr om the main menu. 2. Press <UP/DO WN> to select the desired call log entry . 3. Press <T ALK ON / FLASH> or <SPEAKER> to dial out to the selected entr y .
24 25 Note: Press <T ALK OFF/CLEAR> to exit the directory , call log history or redial list and r eturn to the call without dialing the displa yed number . Redial list Y ou can redial up to 20 of the last numbers called. If you ha ve stored a name in the directory to go with the number , the name will be displa yed instead.

30 31 This telephone has 10 speed dial locations where y ou can assign telephone numbers fr om the directory you wish to dial numbers by pr essing and holding the respectiv e digits ke ys from idle mode. Only one handset can access the speed dial locations at a time.
32 33 CALLER ID DISPLA Y (NETWORK DEPENDENT) This product supports caller ID services offered by most telephone service pro viders. If you ha ve subscribed to Caller ID service , and pr ovided the ide.

40 41 REGISTER/DEREGISTER HANDSETS Y our telephone can support up to ve cordless handsets. The additional handset(s) needs to register with the telephone base bef ore use. Y ou must register each ad ditional handset separately . The handsets pro vided within your pr oduct box are alr eady register ed as HANDSET 1 and so forth.
