Before wiring the CCN connection, refer to t he Connect to the CCN Communication Bus section on page 26, for commu- nication bus wiring and cable selection. The cable selected must be identical to the CCN communication bus wire used for the en tire netw ork.
PRIMAR Y AIR TEMPERA TURE SENS OR INST ALLA- TION — A primary air temperature (P A T) sensor is used on a zone controller which is functioning as a Linkage Coordinator for a non CCN/Linkage compatible air source. The part num- ber is 33ZCSENP A T .
The CO 2 sensors (33ZCSENCO2) factory set for a range of 0 to 2000 ppm and a linear voltage output of 0 t o 10 vdc. Figure 19 shows ventilation rates for various CO 2 set points when outside air with a typical CO 2 level of 350 ppm is used.
Indoor A ir Qual ity Se nsor W iring — T o wire t he sensors after they are mounted in the conditioned air space and return air duct, see Fig. 20 and the instructions shipped with the sen- sors.

STAR T-UP Use the Carri er network communica tion software to start up and configure the zone c ontroller . All set-up and set point configurations are factory-set and field-adjustable. Changes can be made using the ComfortWORKS ® soft- ware, Comfor tVI EW ™ software, or Network Service T ool.
9. Check to be sure the area around the air handler(s) is clear of co nstruction dirt and d ebris. 10. Check that f inal filters are installed i n the air han- dler(s). Dus t and debris can adversely af fect system oper atio n. 1 1 . V erify that th e zone controller and the air h andler con- trols are properly connected to the C CN bus.
4. If the termi nal is a para llel or ser ies powered f an box, force the Fan Override to Enable. If the d amper is open it may ha ve to be repo sitioned to the proper posit ion dependi ng on the box type.
SUPPLY AIR T EMPERATURE — T e mpe rat ure of th e air leaving the zone controller downstream of a ny ducted heat source. Measured by a 10 k Ω thermistor (T ype III). This tem- perature is used to control the maxi mum discharge air to the space when local heat is active.
Alarm Rout in g Contr ol — This decision indicat es which CCN system software or devices w ill receive and process alarms sent by the zone c ontroller . Thi s decision consists of eight digits each can be set to zero or one. A setting of 1 indi- cates alarms should be sent to this device.
LINKAGE COORDINATOR C ONFIGURATION SCREEN — The Linkage Coordinator Configuration scre en allows the user to set the linkage coordinator configuration set- tings. See T able 6. Linkage Master Zo ne — This decision defines if the zone controller will f unction as a L inkage Coordinator ( Linkage Master) for itself and other zones.

Ta b l e 7 — Occupancy Sc hedule Infor mation Screen If a 1 is configured in the corre sponding place for a cer tain day of the week, the rel ated “ Occupied from ” and “ Occupied to ” times for that period will take effect on that day of the week.
Air Quality — The Air Quality set point is used to configure the IAQ set point for the zone controller if opt ional controlled ventilation support is used.
Heat Minimum (P I) — This configuration is the minimum airflow the terminal will control to when the equipment mode is W arm-Up or Heat. If t he terminal i s not configured for V A V central heat ing t his is t h e onl y airflow t h e t erminal wi ll control to for these equipment m odes.
T able 10 — T erminal S ervice Configuration Screen Pr o be Mu ltipl i er — This configuration is used to input a factor for the vel ocity p ressu re pro be in stall ed in the ter minal inle t. Most inlet probes will have s ome aerodynamic characteristics that will affect the differential pressure output from the probe.
The calibration gain is used for the fine tuning adjustments which might need to be made to the airflow cal culation. This number is calculated automatically by the zone controller after input to the air balance maintenance screen, or it can be input manually at t his screen.
Star t V alue: Unit s F (C) Range 40 to 125 Default V alue 80 Ducted Heat — The Duc ted Heat configuration is used to con- figure the terminal for duct ed heat. If a local heat source is in the duct and requires airflow to provide heat, set the Ducted Heat configuration for yes.
Override — The O verride parameter is used to configure the number of hours and minutes the override will be in effect. The user initiates override by pressing the override button on the space temp erature sensor . This will cause the schedule to enter into the Occupied mode.
Ta b l e 1 2 — Sec ondar y Damp er Ser vice Con figura tion Screen Secondary Duct Size — The Secondary Duct Size setting is used to input the inlet diameter of the terminal , i f used with a round inlet. The Inlet Area configurat ion is used for oval or rectangular inle ts.
Master Zone Elemen t Number — This variabl e will d ispla y the element address of the z one which is the Linka ge Master . Master Zone Element Number: Display Range 1 to 239 Default V alue 0 Net.
→ Ta b l e 1 3 — Linkag e Maintenance Screen Next Unoccupied Day — This variable displays the day when the next associated zone i s scheduled to change from oc cupi ed to unoccupied mode. This point is read in conjunction with the next unoccupied time to allow the user to know the next time and day when a zone will become unocc upied.
This number is rounded t o the nearest tenth of an inch and will be subtracted to the static pressure reset value unless the static pressure reset value ha s reached ze ro. Pressure Increase V alue: Displa y Uni ts in. wg Display Range 0.000 to 5.000 Default V alue 0.
Next Unoccupied T ime — This variable displays the time of day when the next unoccupi ed period is scheduled to begin. This point is read in conj unction with the next unocc upied day to allow the user to know the next time and day when t he zone will become unoccupied.
→ T able 15 — Zone Air Balance/Commissioning T able Heat i ng Ov er r ide — This variable can be used to te st the heat outputs. Enabling this variable will cause the heat to be modu- lated or staged to full heat until this point is disabled or the force released.
ZONE MAINTENANCE T ABLE — The Zone Maintenanc e table is used to display zone set points and variables. See T able 16. Occupied — This variabl e indicates if the zone controller is operating in the occ upied mode.
Heat Master Reference — This point displays t he occupied heat set point if occupied, or the unoccupied heat s et point if unoccupied. This variable will display any space temperature sensor slidebar offset that is being applied. Heat Maste r Reference: Display Units F (C) Display Range 40.
