27 The But ton: Mo de or Flexible Recording The camcorder offers two basic modes for recording video o r photos: mode for beginners or if you just prefer not to bother w ith detailed camcorder settings, a nd fl exib le r eco rdi ng mode which lets you change the camcord er's settings to your p refer ence.

37 Quick Start Function When you close the LCD pane l with the camcorder on, the camcorder enters the standby mo de. In standby mode the camcor der co nsumes only ab out half the power used wh en recor ding, saving ener gy when y ou ar e using a ba ttery pack.
