Placing Originals 1-37 Introduction to Sending Functions 1 Platen Glass Y ou should use the platen glass when scanning bound originals (such as books and magazines), originals on heavy or lightweight paper , and transparencies into memor y .
Placing Originals 1-38 Introduction to Sending Functions 1 The surface of the original that you want to scan must be placed face down. Align the top edge of your original with the back edge of the platen glass (by the arrow in the top left corner). Place books and other bound originals on the platen glass in the same way .

[Full]: Sends scanned data as an image via the Internet, and enables you to receive a delivery confirmation message telling you whether your I-fax was sent successfully .

The following conditions are always selected: - Paper Size: A4/L TR - Compression Method: MH (Modified Huffman) - Resolution: 200 x 100 dpi and 200 x 200 dpi The paper sizes L TR, LGL, and STMT are included in [L TR].
Specifying Destinations 2-12 Basic Sending Methods 2 7 Select [On] or [Off] for <Send Via Server>. [On]: Sends your I-fax documents via a mail server . This enables you to send documents to destinations via the Internet in the same way that you send an e-mail.

Specifying Destinations 2-35 Basic Sending Methods 2 2 Select the desired One-touch Button. Each one-touch button is assigned a three digit number . If you know the one-touch button's three digit number , you can press (One-T ouch Button Number) ➞ enter the number for the desired one-touch button using - (numeric keys).
Specifying Destinations 2-36 Basic Sending Methods 2 Using the Favorites Buttons If you frequently send documents with the same document settings to the same destination, store these settings in a f av orites button.
