8 This will take you to the TruLink Wireless USB Kit InstallShield Wizard . Click “Next” to go to proceed with the install. Read and accept the Wirel ess USB software License Agreement by clicking “Yes”.
9 Read and accept the Li cense Agreement for the DisplayLink software. After the software installs, your installation is complete and you can hit the “Finish” bu tton to exit the wizard.
10 S TEP 2 (I F NECESSARY )-D RIVER I NSTALLATION F OR THE W IRELESS USB H OST A DAPTER ( SO LD SEP ARATELY ) 1. Install your Wireless USB host adapter if you have not already done so. Please refer to your Wireless USB host adapter instructional guide or you may tr y to contact the manufac turer for the proper driver installation process.
11 S TEP 3 – D EVICE I NSTALLATION FOR THE T RU L INK W IRELESS VGA D EVICE A DAPTER The TruLink Wireless VGA Device Adapter supports two association me thods: Cable Association and Pin Association. Only one of these meth ods is necessary to complete inst allation.

To pin associate with the TruLink Wireless USB Host Adapter, please do the following: 1.
13 V ERIFY C ONNECTION To verify connection from Cable or PIN Associati on, you can open the Wireless USB host manager utility and you should have an icon displa yed representing the TruLink Wireless VGA Device Adapter. W IRED M ODE Your Wireless VGA Adapter can also be used wired mode.
14 W IRELESS VGA D ISPLAY S ETTINGS The TruLink Wireless VGA Device A dapter hosts a number of various se tti ngs so that you may configure your image to the way you need it. After you have properly installed t he USB to VGA Adapter, an icon repr esenting a monitor will appear in your Windows icon tray.

18 W IRELESS USB H OST A DAPTER R ESET To erase all Wireless USB host adapt ers associated to your Wireless VG A Device Adapter, hold down the “RESET” button for 10 seconds. Th is will cause the Wireless VGA Devi ce Adapter to erase all Wireless USB host adapters that have been a ssociated from its list.
19 1. Why can’t I install .NET? You may have an older version of .NET, preventing the newer one from bei ng installed. Using Add/Remove Programs or Programs a nd Features on the Control Panel , uninstall any version of Microsoft .NET Framework™ older t han version 2.
20 3. Why is my video choppy? If you are experiencing choppy video, try changing the channel (please refer to your Wireless USB host adapter settings for this) or move in your computer closer to the display. 4. I see a blue screen or my desktop backgroun d on my display connected with the Wireless VGA Device Adapter, but no icons.
21 1. We only recommend playing bac k video in “Extend” mode. 2. Don’t switch between “Mirror” and “Extended” modes while video is being played on the wireless display. Doing this can confuse the video player which may cause it to stop its playback.

25 C ABLE ASSOCIATION WI TH OTHER DEVICES A SSOCIATION C ONCEPT In order to establish a secure wireless connection, both your Wireless USB hos t adapter and the Wireless VGA Device Adapter must exchange information about each other. Th is is done via cable or PIN association.

30 4. Enter the PIN of the Wireless VGA Adapter (4-digi t PIN) and cli ck Accept A ssociation. The Wireless VGA Adapter and Wireless USB Host Adapter are now associated and ready for operation. P IN C HANGE P ROCEDURE The default PIN setting for the Wi reless VGA Device Adapter is “1234 ”.
31 3 . Make sure the WIRELESS/WIRED swit ch on your Wireless VGA Adapter is in the WIRELESS position and the power cable is plugged in your Wireless VGA Adapter. Connect t he USB cable between your Wireless VGA Adapter and any avai lable USB port on your computer.

33 6. Enter a 4-Digit PIN (0-9) and click OK. 7. If your PIN is valid, a window displaying yo ur new PIN will appear. Press OK. Your PIN has been successfully changed. IMPORTANT: please exit the Trulink PI N Utility application (Exit button as shown on figure in step 5) bef ore unplugging the USB cable between your Wireless VGA Adapter and your PC.
