5. AVOID HILLS AND SLOPES. Use EXTREME caution when mowing and/or turning on slopes as loss of traction and/or tip-over could occur. Drive slower on slopes. DO NOT mow slopes greater than 15 degrees. Watch for ditches, holes, rocks, dips and rises, which change the operating angle.

INTRODUCTION We are pleased to have you as a Bush Hog cus- tomer. Your Bush Hog Estate Series ZT Rider has been carefully designed to give maximum service with minimum down time. This manual is provided to give you the necessary operating and maintenance instructions for keeping your mower in top operating condition.
CONTROLS OPERATOR INTERLOCK SYSTEM Your Bush Hog Zero Turn Rider is equipped with an Operator Interlock System that is designed to help prevent possible serious injuries. Understanding and maintaining this system is vital for safe operation. To Start Engine: 1.

17 HYDROST A TIC TRANSAXLE BEL T TENSION ADJUSTMENT 1. Stop engine and remove key. 2 . The hydrostatic transaxle belt tension is adjusted through a spring loaded idler pulley. 3. The tension can be adjusted by loosening the (2) hex nuts on the end of the spring support bolt and turning them until the spring length is 3- 7/16” (Shown at right).
