Chapter 1 2 Beep Volume 1 When th e beep is on, the machine wil l make a s ound when y ou press t he Touchscreen or Touchpan el, make a mist ake, or after you sen d or receive a fax. You can choos e a range of sound volume leve ls, fr om High to Off .
General setup 3 1 Automatic Daylight Saving Time 1 You can set the m achi ne to change automatical ly for d aylight s avi ng time. I t will reset i tself f orward one hour in the Spring and backward one h our in the Fall. Make sure you have set the correc t date and time in the Date & Time setti ng.

Chapter 3 12 Co nt rast 3 If your documen t is very light or very dark, you may want to c hange the cont rast. For m ost document s, the f actory sett ing Auto can be us ed . Auto chooses the suita ble contr ast for you r document. Choos e Light when s ending a light doc um ent.

Sending a f ax 21 3 Polling 3 Polling lets you set up your mac hine so other people can receiv e faxes from you, but they pay for the c all. I t a lso lets you call som ebody else’s fax mac hine and receiv e a fax from it, so you pay for the call. The polling feat ure needs to be s et up on both machines fo r this to work.
