Security stops unauthorized devices from using the wireless network. It can also protect the information that is sent in the wireless network.
ZyXEL AG-120 User’s Guide Chapter 3 Wireless LAN Network 39 This type of security does not protect the information that is sent in the wireless network. Furthermore, there are ways for unauthorized wireless devices to get the MAC address of an authorized device.
ZyXEL AG-120 User’s Guide 40 Ch apter 3 Wireless LAN Network • Shared Key mode involves a shared secret ke y to authenticate the wireless station to the AP or peer computer . This re quires you to enable the wireless LAN security and use same settings on both the wireless statio n and the AP or peer computer .
