4 Operating Instructions 1 Safety Prior to using for the first time • Follow the ”Instructions for installation and con- nection” . Corr ect Use • The dishwasher is only intended for washing do- mestic dishes. • Additions or modifications to the dishwasher ar e not permitted.
5 Dishwasher door safety catch The dishwasher door has a safety catc h which pr e- vents children opening the dishwasher door by mis- take. The door safety catch is set as follows: 1. There is a lever (1) on the lefthand side of the door handle rece ss.

7 Contr ol Panel The ON/OFF button is used to turn the dishwasher on and off. The Programme buttons are used to select the de- sired dishwashing cycle.
8 The multi-display can indicate: – the level of hardness to which the water softener is set. – whether the rinse aid dispenser has been activat- ed/deactivated. – the start delay that has been set. – the estimated time r emaining for the curr ent dish- washing cycle.
9 Prior to Using for the First Time 3 If you wish to use 3 in 1 deter g ent: – First read the section “Using 3in1 deter- gents”. – Do not fill up with special salt or rinse aid. If you do not use 3in1 deter gent, before using for the first time 1.
10 Setting electronically: 1. Press the ON/OFF button. 3 If indicators for the programme bu ttons are lit, a dishwashing cycle is activated. The di sh- washing cycle must be deselected: Press function buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously for approx. 2 seconds.
11 Adding dishwasher Salt T o decalcify the water softener , it mus t be filled up with dishwasher salt. Use only special salt suitable for domestic dishwashers. If you do not use 3 in1 detergent, fill up with dish- washer salt: – Befor e using the dishwasher for the first time.
12 Filling Up with Rinse Aid Rinse aid causes t he rinse water t o flow easily from the cr ockery leaving gleaming dishes and glasswar e. If you do not use 3in1 deter gent, fill up with rinse aid: – Befor e using the dishwasher for the first time. – When the control indicator for rinse aid is illuminat- ed on the control panel.
13 Setting the Amount of Rinse Aid Requir ed 3 Only change the amount dispensed, if smears, milky spots (reduce the amount) or dried on water spots (incr ease the amount) can be seen on glasses and dishes. (See section “If dish- washing results ar e not satisfactory”.
14 Activating rinse aid inflow when 3in1 function is selected 3 If the 3in1 function is not select ed, the rinse aid inflow is always activated. If the 3in1 function is selected due to the use of 3in1 deter gent, the rinse aid inflow is deactivated.
15 In daily use Loading cutlery and dishes 1 Sponges, cleaning clot hs and any other ob - jects that can absorb wate r must not be washed in the dishwasher . Plastic and T eflon- coated dishes and pans tend to r etain water droplets. The se dishes and pans ther efore do not dry as well as those made of china and stainless steel.
16 Loading cutlery 1 Wa r n i n g : Sharp knives and other items of cut- lery with sharp edges must be laid in the cut- lery rack or in the upper basket be cause of the risk of injury .
17 Cups, Glasses, Cof fee Service Load smaller , fragile cr ockery and long, sharp cutlery in the upper basket. • Arrange items of cr ockery on and under the folding cup racks so that they ar e offset fr om each other and water can r each all items.
18 Adjusting the Height of the Upper Basket 3 The height of the baskets can also be adjusted when they are loaded. Raising / Lowering the up per basket 1. Pull out the upper basket completely . 2. Holding the upper basket by the handle, raise it as far as it will go and then lower it vertically .
19 Adding Detergent Deter gents remove the dirt fr om dishes and cutlery . The deter gent must be added before the c ycle starts. 1 Only use deter gent intended for domestic dishwashers. The deter gent compartment is located on the inside of the door .
20 Concentrated detergents T oday’ s deter gents for dishwashers are almost ex- clusively low-alkaline concentrated deter gents with natural enzymes i n tablet or powd er form.
21 Using 3in1 detergents These products ar e detergents with a combined cleaning, rinsing and salt function. When the 3in1 function is activated, – the addition of special salt and rinse aid from the respective dispenser is prevented. – If the salt and rinse aid dispenser s are empt y , this is not indicated.

23 Selecting a programme When your dishes look like this, select: an intensive pr ogramme. a normal or ener gy-saving programme. a short programme (e.g .
24 Starting a Dishwashing Cy- cle 1. Check that the spray arms can turn freely . 2. T urn the water tap on fully . 3. Close the door . 4. Press the ON/OFF button. 5. Select the desir ed cycle. The cycle indicator and the r espective cycle stages in the cycle progress display will be illuminated.
25 Setting the Delay Timer 3 With the delay timer you can delay the start of a dishwashing cycle for between 1 and 19 hours. 1. Press the De lay Timer button repeatedly until the multi-display shows the desired time delay , for ex- ample 12h , if the cycle is to start in 12 hours.
26 Car e and cleaning 1 Do not use furniture care products or aggr es- sive cleaners. • When necessary , clean the dishwasher’ s controls with a soft cloth. • Occasionally check the internal dispensers, door seal and water inlet filter (if fi tted) for dirt and clean them, if necessary .
27 Cleaning the spray arm jets Regularly chec k the jets in the sp ray arms for blockages. When cleaning is necessary , re- move spray arm fr om the fixtur e and clean jets with a pointed ob ject (wire or needle) . Then rinse out the spray arm using a strong jet of water .
28 Bottom spray arm 1. T o r emove bottom spray arm, pull it upwards out of its catch. 2. Clean spray arm jets. 3. Place bottom spray arm back in position against connecting piece and pr ess down firmly , until you feel it snap into place. What to do if.
29 The cycle indicator for the select- ed dishwashing cy cle is flashing, fault code Å2 0 is displayed in the multi-display (there is water in the dishwasher’ s internal di spenser). The sink outlet is blocked. Clean out sink outlet. W ater drain hose has not been corr ectly positioned.
30 If the dishwashing r esults ar e not satisfactory The dishes are still dirty . • The wrong dishwashing cycle was selected. • The dishes were loaded is such a way that the dishwashing water did not reach all items. The baskets for the dishes must not be overloaded.
31 Disposal 2 Packaging material The packaging materials a re environmentally friendly and can be recyc led. The plastic com- ponents are identi fied by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Please dispose of the packaging materials in the appr opriate container at your local waste disposal facilities.

34 Installation and connection instructions 1 Safety Information for the Installation • Only transport the dishwasher in an upright posi- tion, otherwise salt water may run out. • Before using the dishwasher for the first time, check for any damage caused in transpor t.
35 Installing the Dishwasher • The dishwasher must be installed on a firm floor and adjusted to ens ure that it is stable and level in all directions. • T o compensate for unevenness in the floor and to match the height of the appliance to that of sur- rounding units, extend the threaded feet using a screwdriver .
36 Free-standing appliances 1 If the dishwasher is installed directly next to a cooker , a heat-insulatin g, non-flammable pan- el (laminated with aluminium foil on the side next to the cooker) must be fitted flush with the top edge of t he work surface (depth 57.
37 Connecting the dishwasher Connecting to the water supply • The dishwasher can be connected to cold or hot water supplies up to max. 60°C. • The dishwasher must not be co nnected to open hot water appliances or instantaneous water heat- ers.
38 Extension hoses • Extension hoses are available fr om your local Serv- ice Force Centre. T o ensure tha t the function of the appliance is not impeded, the inter nal diameter of extension hoses must be 19 mm.
39 Electrical Connection Any electrical work required to install this appli- ance should be carried out by a qualified electri- cian or competent person. 1 WARNING - This appliance must be earthed. The manufacturer decl ines any responsibil- ity should these safety measures not be ob- served.
40 Connecting systems The water inlet hose, drain hose and the mains cable must all be connected to the side of the dishwasher as ther e is no space for them behind the appliance.
