quick use guide 5 S witch On the Machine Once the machine has be en assembled it must be conf igured. This is done usin g the Product Enablement Ke y when the machine is switched on for the f irst time. The Product Enablement Key is delivered in a pla stic tube inside the box with the machine.

quick use guide 17 Serv er F ax The Server Fax featur e enables Users to s end documents to one or more fa x machines via the telephone netw ork without having a dedicated telephon e line connecte d to the machine This is achieved by connecting the machine to a network Fa x Server which can manage fax transmis sions throughout an organisation.
18 quick use guide Making C opies 1 Load the docume nts to be copied eith er f ace up in the Document F eeder or f ace down to the rear left c orner of the Document Glass. 2 P ress the Services Home button and then Copy . The Co py screen will be display ed.
quick use guide 19 Additional C opy F eatures R educe / Enlarge Originals can be reduc ed or enlarged between 25% and 400%. To use this option, selec t the Copy tab. Select a ny one of the preset reduce/enlarge ratios or select More to access cust om settings.

quick use guide 21 Additional P rint F eatur es Rot at e i m ag e This feature ena bles you to rotate the page throu gh 180 degrees. To use this option, click t he Advanced tab and click on Image Options . Select Enabled to rotate page images 180 degrees from their current orientation.
22 quick use guide Sending a F ax NOTE: This feature is only av ailable on the WorkCentre 4260 X/XF configuration. 1 Load the documents to be f axed eith er f ace down on the Document Glass or f ace up into the Document F eeder. 2 P ress the Services Home button and choose the Fax option.
quick use guide 23 NOTE: To confirm the Fax job, press the Job Status button on the Control Panel to display the Job Status screen. Th e queued job will b e displayed.
24 quick use guide Additional F ax F eatur es Dela y ed send This feature e nables you to sp ecify the time the fax is transmitted. This option can be used to delay tr ansmissi on of a fax job to an off- peak period to reduce the cost of the call. To use this option, select the Fax Options tab.
quick use guide 25 Network Sc anning Network Scanning enables you to scan your hard copy documents and store them as electronic files. 1 Load the documents to be scanned either f ace down on the Document Glass or f ace up into the Document F eeder. 2 P ress the Services Home button on the C ontro l P anel.

Your work flow will be more efficient if you create specific templa tes for your most frequent s canning jobs.
