Connection 25 Connecting an external speak er Y ou can hear sound through an external speak er instead of the internal speakers built into the projector . T o connect the pr ojector to an external speak er source de vice: 1. Connect an appr opriate stereo cable to the external speak er and the audio output jack on the projector .
Connection 26 Connecting to an external memor y de vice Connecting an SD card T o connect the projector to an SD card: 1. Connect an SD card to the SD car d slot on the pr ojector . • The maximum memor y capacity supported for an SD(HC) card is 16 GB.
Connection 27 • Do not turn off the product or pull a conn ected USB storage device out while the USB storage de vice is in use. Doing so may res ult in damage to the USB storage device or stored file . • Use a USB storage de vice which c ontains normal files.
Connection 28 Pla ying sound thr ough the pr ojector Y ou can mak e use of the projector speak er in your presentations, and also connect separate amplified speakers to the audio output jack of the projector . The table below describes the connection methods for differ ent devices, and where th e sound is fr om.
Operation 29 Operation Star ting up the pr ojector 1. Connect the pow er using the A C adapter . The Pow er LED indicator turns into blue and flash es slowly . 2. Press Power on the pr ojector or remote control to start the projector . T he Pow er , OK and Ring LED indicators light blue when the pr ojector is on.
Operation 30 Adjusting the pr ojected imag e Adjusting the imag e height The pr ojector is equipped with 1 adjuster f oot . This adjuster changes the image height. T o adjust the projector: 1. Screw the adjuster foot to adjust the image height. T o r etract the foot, screw the adjuster f oot in a reve rs e di re c ti o n.
Operation 31 Corr ecting k eystone K eystoning r efers to the situ ation wher e the projected image is notice ably wider at either the top or bottom. It occurs when the proj e ctor is not perpendicular to the screen. Corr ecting k eystone when an image is displa yed on the scr een.
Operation 32 Securing the pr ojector Utilizing the passw ord function For security purposes and to help pr event una uthorized use, the pr ojector includes an option for setting up passw ord security . The passwor d can be set through the Settings menu.

Operation 35 Optimizing the imag e Selecting a pictur e mode The projector is pr eset with sev eral predefined picture modes so that you can choose one to suit your operating envir onment and input signal picture type. T o select an operation mode that suits your need, y ou can follow one of the following steps.
Operation 36 Using W all Color In the situation wher e y ou are projecting on to a colored surface such as a pai nted wall which ma y not be white, the Wall Color featur e can help correct the projected pictur e’ s color to prev ent possible color difference betw een the source and pr ojected pictures.
Operation 37 Operating in a high altitude en vir onment W e recommend you use the High Alti tude Mode when your en vironmen t is between 1500 m –3000 m above sea le vel, and ambient temperatur e is between 0°C–30°C.
