26 PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS INSTALLATION • The appliance must be handled and inst alled by two or more persons. • Be careful not to damage the floors (e.g. parquet) when moving the appliance. • During installa tion, make sure the applian ce does not damage the power cable.

29 GUIDE TO SELECTING FUNCTIONS SWITCHING ON THE APPLIANCE When the appliance is connected to the mains power supply, if compartment ar e not cold enough, “LF” will appear on the freezer temperature display and “L C” on the refrigerator temperature display.
30 FREEZER COMPARTMENT TEMPERATURE BUTTON • At first, th e temper ature disp lay shows -16°C . • Press button “ ” once. • The first time the button is pressed, the freezer bars will start blinking; if button “ ” is pressed again within 2 seconds, the temperature display will show -18°C.
31 SUPER FREEZING MODE • This function must be activated befor e freezing fresh food. How to use; • Press the menu button until the super freezing symbol lights up • If the user does not press any button for 2 sec.
32 TURBO MODE Turbo mode is not a mode that is selected indivi dually. • The Turbo symbol will light when both the super cooli ng and super freezing modes are selected. How to use: • Press the menu button until the Super Freezing symbol lights up.
33 ECONOMY MODE How to use: • Press the menu button until the Economy symbol lights up. • If the user does not press any button for 2 sec., the Economy mode will be set. The corresponding sy mbol will blink 5 times and the acoustic alarm will sound.
34 REFRIGERATOR COMPARTMENT This appliance is equipped with a No Frost syst em that does not require manual defrosting. The appliance is also provided with a ventilated system, than ks to which the internal temperature is to all intents and purposes uniform.
35 FRESH CONTR OL COMPARTMENT This sliding compartment stays colder than the rest of the refrigerator compartment to keep daily foods fresh longer. It is proper for keeping dairy pr oducts, cold cuts, sausage and meat. If necessary, remove the fresh control compartment for cleaning.
36 MOISTURE CONTROL (depending on the model) The fruit and vegetables drawer is provided with a moisture control that allows you to control the necessary amount of air that goes into the drawer. • We recommend to keep the control closed to preser ve leafy vegetables and open to preserve fruit.
37 FREEZER COMPARTMENT TO REPLACE THE CRISPER DRAWER LID First step: replacing the crisp er drawer lid • Insert the back of the lid into the runners.
38 ICE CUBES • Take ou t the ice cub e tray. • Fill it with water to the indicated level. • Replace the ice cube tray in its original position. • When the ice cubes are ready, turn the knob to drop th em into the ice bin. Do not fill the ice bin with water.
39 GUIDE TO STORAGE AND THAWING OF FOOD PREP ARING FRESH FOOD FOR FREEZING It is important to wrap food so that no water, moistu re, or vapour may penetrate; this avoids the transfer of odours and flavours throughout the refrigerator an d allows better storage of frozen food.
40 FOOD STORA GE CHART Storage time will vary according to th e quality of the food, th e type of packaging or wrap used (moisture and vapour proof), and the storage temperat ure (which should be -18°C).
41 CARE AND MAINTENANCE INSTALLATION Freestanding appliances (not built-in) • Fit the spacers (if suppli ed) on the rear of the condenser positioned at th e back of the appliance (see figure); alternatively, leave a space of at least 6 cm between the rear of the appliance and the wall.
42 VACATION Short vacation There is no need to disconnect the refrigerator from the power supply if you will be away for less than three weeks. Use up perishable food, freeze other food. Long vacation Remove all the food if you are going away for three weeks or more.
