5 Electr ic al Requirements Befo re you mov e you r re frige rator into it s final loca tion, it is important to make sure you have the proper electri cal connection . Recommended gr ounding method A 115 V olt, 60 Hz. , AC only 15 or 20 a mper e fused , gr ounded electrica l supply is required.
6 Door Rem o v al TOOLS NE EDED: ¹⁄₄ i n. h ex -he ad s ock et w r en ch, ⁵⁄ ₁₆ in . hex-head socket wrench and a fl at-blade screwdriver . IMPORT AN T : Before you begin, turn the refrigerator control OFF , unplug r efrigerator or disconnect power .
7 Handle Removal (optional) 1. Apply firm pressure with your han d on the face of trim. Slide top t rim up a nd bott om trim down away from hand le. Lift trim pieces off shoulder screws (s ee Graphic 1). NOTE : Some models include accent pieces between the handle and the han dle trim.
8 4. Align and replace t he top left hinge as shown (see Graphic 4). Tighten scr ews. Style 1 ■ Reconne ct both gr ound wire s. ■ Reco nnect wir ing plug . Style 2 ■ Reco nnect wir ing plug . 5. Replace le ft hinge cover and sc r ew s. 6. Replace the refrigerator d oor by car efully lifting t he door onto the bottom right hinge.
9 Connecting to Refrigerator Style 1 1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect pow er . 2. Attach the copper tub e to the val ve inlet usin g a compression nut and sleev e as shown. Tighten the compression nut. Do not ov ertigh ten. 3. Use the tube c lamp on the back of the refrigerator to secure the tubing to t he r efrigerator as shown .
10 NOTE S: ■ If your m odel has a base g rille filter s ystem, make su re the base grille fil ter is p ro per ly inst alled and the ca p is in the horizonta l position . ■ Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after th e system.
11 ■ If the temp erature is too warm or too cold in the r efrigerator or freezer , first check the air vents to be sur e they are not blocked before adju sting the controls. Adjusting Controls If you need to adj ust temperatures, adjus t the r efrigerator temperature first.
