7 English Getting Started Connecting the Projector Note: To ensure the projector works well with your comp uter, please make sure the timing of the display mode is compatible with the projector. Note: "*" USB drive limitation, do not support p ower.
8 English Turning the Projector On/Off Turning On the Projector 1 Press OPEN on the control pane l to release the mirror door. 2 Ensure that the power co rd and signal cable ar e securely connected.
9 English Turning Off the Projector 1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This message appears: "Please press the power button again to complete the shutdown process.
10 English Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of the Projected Image The projector is equipped with an elevator foot for adjusting the image height. To raise the imag e: Use Tilt adjusting wheel to fine-tune the display angle. To lower the image: Use Tilt adjusting wheel to fine-tune the display angle.
11 English How to Optimize Ima ge Size and Distance Consult the table below to find the optim al image sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a desired distance from the scre en. • U5200/N210/PN-X10 If the projector is 50 cm from the screen, good im age quality is possible for image sizes around 138".
12 English • U5300W/N220/PN-W10 If the projector is 50 cm from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes around 163". Note: Remind as below figure, the space of 285 cm height is required when located at 50 cm distance.
13 English How to Get a Preferred Image Size by Adjusting Distance and Zoom The table below shows how to ach ieve a desired image size by adjustin g either the position or the zoom ring. • U5200/N210/PN-X10 To obtain an image size of 120" set the projector at a distance 39 cm from the screen.

15 English User Controls Installation Menu The installation menu provides an on screen display (OSD) for projector installation a nd ma inte nance. Use the OSD on ly when the message "No signal input" is disp layed on the screen. 1 Turn on the projector by pressing (POWER) on the contr ol panel or remote control.
16 English Acer Empowering Technology Empowering Key Acer Empowering Key provides three Acer unique functions: "Acer eView Management", "Acer eTimer Management", "Acer eOpening Management" and "Acer ePower Management".
17 English Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multilin gual Onscreen Display (OSD) menus th at allow you to make i mage adjustments an d change a variety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the control p anel or remote control.
18 English Color Display Mode There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: For br ightness op timization. • Presentation: For meeting presentation with higher brightness . • Standard: For common envir onment. • Video: For pla ying video in a bright envi ronment.
19 English Note: "Saturation" and "Tint" fun ctions are not supported und er computer, or HDMI (PC) mode. Note: "HDMI Color Range" is onl y available when the input si gnal is HDMI. Color R Adjusts the red color. Color G Adjusts the green color.
20 English Image Projection • Front-Desktop: The factory default setting. • Front-Ceiling: When you select this function, the projector inverts the image for ceiling-m ounted projectio n. • Rear-Desktop: When you select this function, the projector reverses the image so that you can project behind a translucent screen.
21 English Sharpness Adjusts the sharpness of the image. • Press to decrease the sharpness. • Press to increase the sharpness. H. Position (Horizontal Position) • Press to move the image left. • Press to move the image right. V. Position (Vertical Position) • Press to move the image down.
22 English Note: "H. Position", "V. Position", "Frequency" and " Tracking" functions are not supported under video m ode. Note: "Sharpness" function is not supported under com puter mode. Note: The 3D function is support ed by VGA source only.
23 English Screen Capture Use this function to customize the startup screen. To capture the image that you want to us e as the startup screen, follow the instructions below.
24 English Security Security This projector provides a usef ul sec urity function for the administrator to manage the projector. Press to change the "Security" setting. If the security function is enabled, you must enter "Administrator Password" first before changing the security setting.
25 English Administrator Password You can enter "Administrator Password" when the "Enter Administrator Password" or "Enter Password" dialogue box is displayed . • Press to change "Administrator Password". • The factory default of "Administrator Password" is "1234".
26 English Management ECO Mode Choose "On" to dim the pro jector lamp, which will also lower the power consum ption, reduce noise, and extend the lamp life. Choose "Off" to return to the normal mode. High Altitude Choose "On" to turn on th e High Altitude mod e.
27 English Audio Timer Volume • Press to decrease the projector speaker volume. • Press to increase the projector speaker volume. Micropho ne Volume • Press to decrease the microphone volume. • Press to increase the microphone volume. Mute • Choose "On" to turn mute on.
28 English Language Timer Start (or Stop) Press to start or stop the timer. Timer Period (Minutes) Press to adjust the timer period. Timer Volume Select this function to ad just the notification volume when the timer function is enabled and time is up.

30 English 3 Partial, s crolling or incorrectly displayed image (For notebooks) • Press "RESYNC" on the contr ol panel or remote control. • For an incorrectly displaye d image: • Follow the steps for item 2 (above) to adjust the resolution of your computer.

34 English Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, an d then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life itself. It will show you a warning message "Lamp is approach ing the end of its useful life in full powe r operation.
35 English Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ce iling mount, please refer to the steps below: Warning: To ensure the stability o f the mirror, do not install the projector near any air/heating vents. 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base.
36 English 3 Use the appropriate number of screws for the projector size to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. Note: It is recommended that you keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector to allow fo r proper heat distribution.
