Introduction Thank you for purchasing the ViviCam 5024 5.1 Mega-Pi xel Digital Camera. Everything you need to take quality digita l photos and videos is included with your camera. Y our digital camera can also be used as a removable disk. It enriches your life.

A Quick Look at Y our Camera 4.
Prep aring Y our Camera for Use Battery Inst allation Y our camera requires 3 AAA batteries. T o insert the batteries into the camera: 1. Slide and open the battery compartment at the bottom of the camera. 2. Please make sure that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity facing up.
Note: 1. If you don’t intend to use your camera fo r an ex te nded period of time, please remo ve the batteries to avoid battery leakage and corrosion. 2. Please don’t remove the batteries or power of f your camera befor e downloading the testing photo when you have not inserted an SD card.
3. Push the card in until you feel it “click” into posit ion. The top of the card should be flus hed with the surface of the camera. An icon will appear on the LCD screen after you turn on your camera. 4. Once the external memory card is inserted into t he camera all the images taken with the camera will be stored on the card.
S t arting Y our Camera Press and hold the Power button to turn on your camera. The LCD screen will light up indicating that your camera is on and ready for use. T o po wer off your camera, press and hold the Power button again f or about 3 seconds. Camera Modes T aking phot os Power on your camera, the defau lt mode is Camera mode.
2. Press the Up button again to cha nge from the aut o flash to the red-eye reduction flash mode. The icon will appear on the LCD indicating that the re d eye reduction function has been activated. 3. Press the Up button once more u ntil you see the icon appear on the LCD screen.
3. Press the Menu/OK button. 4. Use the Up/Down button to select either: “On” - to activate and turn the anti -shake on. Icon will show on the screen. “Off” - to exit or turn the anti-shake off. Icon will appear on the screen. 5. Press the Menu/OK button to confirm.
Setting Frequen cy Fluorescent lighting oscillation can af fect the quality of your photos. Set the camera for the correct frequenc y for the country that y ou are in. Y our camera has 2 Frequency settings, 60HZ for the U.S. and 50H Z for Europe and Japan.
Self Timer Y ou can include yourself in a phot o by using the Self T imer feature to delay the time bet ween your pressing the shutter and when the ph oto is actually taken. It is re commended that you use a tripod or place the camera on a flat and secure surface when you use the self-timer .
V ideo Mode The Video Mode allows you to shoot high quality A VI movies. In order to use this mode an SD memory card required. 1. Insert a SD memory card. 2. Power on your camera. 3. Press the MODE button to select the video mode. The Video icon now appears in the top left corner of the LCD.

Preview photos In playback mode press the Right/Left buttons to sele ct and view your photos and videos taken. “JPG” w ill appear on the LCD if you selected a photo. The resolution icon of the photo will appear on the bottom left corner of the LCD for each photo.
Format This function will delete all of the files in y our came ra’s memory (internal memory or SD memory car d, depending on the device selection). Please be certai n that you wish to use this function. In the playback mode: 1. Press the Menu/OK button.
Inst alling PhoT ags Express Sof tware NOTE: Before a ttempting to install the sof tware, make sure t hat you do not have the camer a’ s USB cable attached to your compute r . This w ill affec t the install process and can cause a failed i nstallation of the camera software and drivers.
3. Please review the license terms and click the “ I A gree ” button to continue. 4. Let the “PhoT ags Express” installe r create the fo lder w here the program will be install ed to, and then click “Inst all”.
5. Please wait while the application is being inst alled on your computer . 6. Once the application has been installed on your computer , click the “Finish” button to let the “PhoT ags Express” installer fi nish the installation program.
If you selected the option for the application to st art af ter pressing the Finish button, the application w ill automatically launch. If not, then in order to open the application you need to double click on the Photags Express icon on the desktop.
7. The Welcome to Phot ags Express Product Registration screen will open. This screen w ill appear each time you open the application until you register . T o register your product please click the “Register Online” button and fill out the online registration form (This requires an internet connection).
4. If the Camera is off it will automatically be tu rned on when the USB cable is properly connected. If you have not already opened your application then c lick the “PhoT ags Express” i con that appears on your desktop to open the “PhoT ags Express” Software.

Do wnload photos and v ideos to your PC Transfer Photos and video images fro m your camera to your PC using Ph oTags Express. Select the “Get Photos” button from the top of the PhoTags Expres s Main Menu screen.
Select the device (removable disk) option in the Active Devices window on the left and then select either the “Custom” or “Exp ress” copy radial button in the Copy methods box. CUSTOM COPY METHOD Select the “Custom” copy radial button. Click the “Next” button.
Choose where to place your photo s and videos. The default is to place all photos and videos into a folder under the C:M y Document s My Pictures fol der with the date when the ph otos were taken as the folder name. Click the “Finish” button to start the download process.
All the media – Photos and Videos on your camera are now do wnloaded to your computer to th e selected folder. Open the “Select Photos” mode of Photags Expr e ss to view the thumbnails for all the media. You may now use PhoTags Expr ess to edit your photos, create collections and Burn CD`s.
EXPRESS COPY METHOD Select the “Express” copy radial button if you want to have all the im ages transferred to the PC without the option to select which photos you want to transfer. In this mode you will not see a preview of the images transferred.
T ransferring photo s and videos to y our PC manually Connect your camera to the computer correctl y with USB cable, the screen will be shown a window ( Removable Disk F: ) as below: NOTE: Now you can dow nload the phot os a nd videos to your comp uter with tw o methods as below : 1.
1. Click on the ST AR T button in Windows. 2. Click on the MY COMPUTER Icon on the desktop. 3. Y our memory card will appear as a REMOV ABLE STORAGE DEVICE. 4. Click on the REMOV ABLE STORAGE DEVICE to view the images. The images are stored in the subfolder called DCM100.
