2 Introduction Thank you for pur chasing the ViviCa m 5018 5.1 M ega-Pixe l Digital Camera. Everything you need to take quality digital photo s and videos is included with yo ur camera. Y our digita l camera c an also be used as a removab le disk . It en riches your life.
3 Computer Syste m Requ irements for Windows XP T o be able to dow nload photos to yo ur PC, you w ill need the fo llowing minimum configu ration: Pentium III proce ss or above w ith W indo ws XP .
4 128 MB or more available system RAM (256 M B recommende d), 150 M B free disk sp ace 800 x 600 or higher- resolution monitor di splaying millions of color s A Quick Look at Y o ur Camera.
5 Prep a ring Y our Camera fo r Use Battery I nst all ation Y our camera re quires 2 AAA ba tteries. T o i nser t the batteries into the camera : 1. Slide and open the battery compa rt ment at the bo ttom of the camera. 2. Please m a ke sure that the batteries are in serted w ith the correct polarity fa cing up.
6 Note: 1. If you don ’ t intend to use y our ca mera for an ex tended p eriod of time, please r emove the ba t teries to avoid battery leakage an d corrosio n. 2. Please don ’ t re move the batteries or power off your camera before downloa ding t he tes t photo s or videos w hen you hav e not inser ted an SD card.
7 3. Push the c ard in until you feel i t “ click ” into p osi tion. The top o f the card should be flushed w ith the surfac e of the camer a. An icon will appe ar on the LCD screen af ter you turn on your camera .
8 3. If there are photos and videos in the internal memory when you insert the card in to your camera , “ copy SDRAM file to your c ard , plea se wa it …” w ill appear on the screen.
9 Powe r on your camera, the de fault mode is Camera m ode . 1. Hold the camera steady and comp ose your objec t as appears in the LCD screen. 2. Press the Shu tter button and wait a moment for the pho to to be is t aken.
10 Note: A “ Low Power ” message w ill appear on the LCD screen, if you se lect the f lash function w hen the battery pow er is insu fficient . T o continue u sing the ca mera with the flash, please in stall new batteries. Digit al Zoom function Y ou can magni fy your subje ct usin g the digita l zoom.
11 Change Image Resolut ion Please inser t a SD me mory card fir st for image resolu tion chang ing. 1. Press the Me nu button. 2. Press the Up/Do wn bu tton to sele ct t he R ESOLUTION op tion. 3. Press the Shu tter button. 4. Press the Up/Do wn bu tton to sele ct one of the follow ing resolution s 5M/3M /2M/VGA.
12 2. Press the Up/Do wn bu tton and sel ect MODE. 3. Press the Shu tter button. 4. Press the Up/Do wn bu tton and sel ect SELF . 5. Press the Shu tter button again to confirm. An icon will appe ar on the top lef t corner of the LCD. 6. Press the Shutter button t o begin taking the pho to .
13 Note : 1. “ Insert an SD Me m ory Ca rd ” w il l appear on the L CD screen w hen you press the s hutter button w here no SD memory was prev iously inserted . 2. Y ou can playba ck the A VI file by using Quick Ti me or W indow s Media Player once it has been dow nloaded to your compu ter .
14 5. Press the Shu tter button again to stop playing. Delete photo and/or videos Y ou may delete i mages direc tly from the memory card on your camera. The im ages can only be de leted w hile in the playba ck mode. 1. In playback mode, pre ss t he Menu button .

16 1. On the “Ins tall your camera sof tware” screen, select your camera model fro m the drop down list and click the “Ins tall” bu tton to ins tall the PhoT ag s Expr ess sof twa re. For more inst allation information click the “R ead Me First ! ” button .
17 3. Please re view the lic en se terms a nd click the “ I A gree ” bu tton to continue. 4. Let the “Pho T ags Expr ess” insta ller create the f older whe re the pr ogr am w il l be installed to, and the n click “Inst all”.
18 5. Please w ait wh ile the application is being ins talled on your co m pu ter . 6. Once t he application has been i nstalled on your computer , click the “Finish” button to let the “PhoT ags Exp ress” insta ller fi nish the installation program.
19 If you s elec ted the opt ion for th e application to start after pre ssing the Finish button, t he applica tion w il l auto m atically launch. If not, then in order t o open the application you need to double c lick on the Photags Ex p ress icon on the desktop.
20 If you choose to regis ter at a later time click the “Continue” bu t ton to o pen the Phot ags Ex press applica tion. Everything you ne ed to g et the most from your ph otos The “PhoT ags Exp.
21 Manage y our photos by creat ing count less uniqu e photo collection s witho ut duplicating any pho tos. Burn CD’ s of any folde rs for ba ckup and stora ge. Enhance y our photos ; Auto Enh ance, Crop, Co rrect Red Eye , Manua lly Adjust and add S pecial Ef fect s.
22 Share y our photos via E- m ail, Local Printing and Cre ate HTML we b pages for up loading online . Work shop s feature allow s you to Create Calendars , t wo- sided Greeting Cards and Postcards on standar d photo p aper .
23 Dow nload photos and v ideos to your PC Transf er Photos and v ideo imag es from y our camera to y our PC u sin g PhoTags Express. Select the “Ge t Photos” bu tton fro m the top of the PhoTags Expre ss Main Men u screen. The Get Photo s W izard opens.
24 Choose w here to place your photos and v ideos. The default is to place all photos and v ideos in to a folder under the C:My Docu ments My Pictures folde r with the date w hen the photos w ere taken as the folder na me.
25 Cl ick the “Finish” bu tton to start the dow nload process. A photos dow nload progress bar appears show ing the nu m ber of med ia (videos include d) dow nloading to you r computer.
26 All the media – Photos and Videos on your ca mera are now dow nloa ded to your computer to the selected folde r. Open the “Se lect Photo s” mode of Photags Ex press to view t he thumbnai ls for all the media. You may now use PhoTag s Ex press to edit yo ur photos, crea te collection s and Burn CD `s.
27 The video w il l begin to play autom atically . T o replay the video, use the media controls. Once all the Photo s and Vide os hav e been dow nloaded to the compu ter it is re commended that you d elete them fro m the camera the reby pre par ing your ca m era to take more pho tos and video s.
28 Choose “ copy pictures to a folder on m y compu ter ” on the Rem ovable Disk (F :) window . After you click “ OK ” , there w ill be s how n so me w indow s on t he screen step by step, y ou are only require d to fol low the description an d click the buttons th at are defaul ted by the system to fi nish transferring .

31 A pp endix B: T roubleshoo ting Q : I have ta k en pho tos but my computer says, “ No photo s in camer a. ” What do I do? A : Firs t ensure that you have in fact taken photos. P ress the Shutter/OK but ton a few time s to take s ome sample pho tos and then try down loading the m again.
