7 Preparing Your Camera for Use Battery Installation Your DVR camcorder re quires a Lithiu m-ion rechargeable bat tery (included in pac kaging). Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera. 1. Insert the batteries in accordance with the polarity (+ and - ) a s indicated.
8 Inserting an SD Memory Card An SD compatible memory card of up to 8GB (not included ) should be inserted into your DV R camera. SD Me mory cards ex pand the amount of memory thus allowing an increase in the number of movies and photos that can be captured before tr ansferring the m to your computer.
9 Note : After you inser t an SD mem ory card, the icon will appear on the LCD, indicating that your SD memor y card has bee n installed successfully, an d the media you capture will now be stored on the card and not in the internal me mory. This product support s SD cards of up to 8 GB .

12 5. The Setup w izard will start to in stall the Snap „n Share Pro appli cation on yo ur computer. Clic k “ Next ” to continue . 6. Please review the license ter ms and click the “I A gree” button to continue.
13 7. In the Installation op t ions you can choose whe re to install thi s application on your computer. Ho wever , it is recommended to let the S nap „n Share Pro installer create the folder to w here the progra m will be installed. Click “ Install ” and follow the in structions.
14 8. Click “ Finish ” to let the Snap „n Sha re Pro installer finish the installation program..
15 9. The Setup will now begin to silently install the Video E xpr ess s oftw are. This might take a few second to install depending on the operating system you are running.
16 Congratulations !! You hav e successfully installed the Snap „n Share Pro and Video Express so ftware on your P C. Click the “ Finish ” button to open t he Snap „n Share Pro appli cation.

18 DV R Functions and Menu Control To pow er on t he camera you need t o flip open the LCD Screen. The Power button is situated on the in side of the ca mera. Power on Press the Powe r button t o turn on your DVR . The green LED on the back of the camera will light up follow ed by t he LCD mon itor, indicating that your DV R i s ready for us e.
19 Capturing Videos In order to start capturing video s (w ith audio) with your camcorder: 1. Aim the c amera at t he subje ct you w ish to capture. The image yo u are capturing will appe ar on the LCD screen. 2. Press the Movie Shutter button to the right of the dial to star t shooting.
20 In Video mode t here are five video resolutions for you t o choose f rom before capturing your video. The higher the resolution selected the better the quality of the video, how ever higher quality vide os use up more memory.
21 To enter the setup submenu options for the Video mode pres s the OK/Men u button. 1. Press the Right /Left buttons to select the Video mode . 2. Press the Up/Dow n button to select one of the Video mod e options – Resolution, Stabiliza tion or Motion Detect.

Use the Right/Left button to m ove betwee n t he 5 video resolution settings – HD(1080 p) / HD(720p) / WVGA 60 / VGA / QVGA.

Flash The c amcorder has 3 flash settings. You c an change the flash setting by using the Right button on the camera dial or from within the Fla sh submenu .

32 Note: The Flash will not activ ate if the batteries are low or if the camera is being charged. Selftimer You can set the Selfti mer to up the camera and in clude yourself in t he picture. Place the camera on a tripod or on a steady and flat surface.

46 Format Please use this feature with caution. Using this feature will format either the internal built- in memory or the S D card if one is inserted in the camera. Once formatted all th e media in the camera`s memory will be er ased. This proces s is irreversible.
47 1. Press the Dow n button to enter the Format submenu. 2. A Format message will appear on the LCD w ith a “Yes” or “N o”. 3. Use the Right/Left button to select the option you wish – “Yes” to continue with the format; “No ” to cancel the format and reve rt back to the operational mode.
48 TV Select the appro priate TV standa rd for the area in which you ar e located. The choices are NTSC or PAL. Using the wrong TV syst em will result in t he image flickering on play back.

53 Camera Playback Modes.
54 The Playback mode is for viewing and managing the photos and videos on the built -in memory or the SD card inserted in the camera. 1. Press t he Playback button beneath the dial for the Playback menu screen to appear. 2. Use the Right /Left button to se lect the desired Playback mode - Movie or Pi cture.
55 5. Use the Righ t/Left button to select the desired video or pho to you wan t to view. 6. Press the OK/M enu button to v iew the selected video or photo. Movie Playback 1. In the Movie Playba ck thumbnail view select t he m ovie you wish to view using the Right/Left but ton.

61 Lock Movies In order to prevent movies being deleted by accident you can lock either all or single movies. 1. Press the Dow n button to enter the Lock sub menu. 2. Select the Up button to lock all t he videos; the Down button to lock the present video or the Ex it button to Ex it the mode.
62 3. A Lock icon will appear on the top of the LCD to show if the video is locked or not. 4. To unlock the video simply press the same button as befor e in Step 2 when you locked the video.
63 Repeat Movies Use t his f unction to repeat playing either single m ovies or all the m ovies in the order they app ear in the memory. Repeat One 1. Press the Dow n button to enter the Repeat One submenu. 2. Press the OK/M enu button for the selected movies to start playing.

75 Transferring Images to your PC using the software Once you have ta ken photos and v ideos with your ca mera you now need to down load or transfer the m to your compu ter. This allows you to save all your photos and videos for playing, editing, emailing or upl oading as you de sire.
