7 © 2000 Directed Electr onics , Inc . 20 seconds after th e last door has been closed. Th e system is n ot actually arm ed at that point. The system arm s an d the d oors lock (if connected an d programm ed f or passive locking) at th e 30 second poin t, but the siren will n ot chirp.
8 © 2000 Directed Electr onics , Inc . Multi-Level Security Armin g allows you to select which of th e security system's inputs or sensors will be active an d which will be bypassed at the tim e that the system is armed . (See th e T able of Zon es section.

If the power locks ar e conn ected to the system, th e doors will unlock. If the sir en chirps eith er four or five times wh en disarming, refer to th e Di agnosti cs section of this guid e.

Rearmin g will take place regar dless of wheth er th e system has been progr ammed for active locking/armin g or passive locking/arming. This feature allows you to tempor arily disarm the security system without th e transmitter sh ould it be lost or d amag ed.

14 © 2000 Directed Electr onics , Inc . Diagnostics The mi croprocessor at th e h eart of your system is con stantly mon- itoring all o f the switches an d sen sors that are conn ected to it. It detects an y faulty switches an d sen sors and pr events them fr om disabling th e entire system.
