The appl iance is for use in the home and for the intended purpose onl y. No liability is assumed for any damage caused by improper or incorrect use.

4 User settings 19 4.1 Acoustic signal An acoustic signal is em itted at the end of a pro gramme and if the app liance malfunctions. Setting t he acoustic sign al ➤ Hold th e button d epressed for 5 se conds. – Display: ➤ Press the button repe atedly until illuminates.
4 User settings 20 4.2 «All in 1» detergent The «All in 1» setting adapts the pr ogramme for use with detergent with integrated salt and rins e agent function in an optimal way. • products can only be used up to a certain water hardness. If the or refill indicators illuminate, still re fill with regenerati on salt or rinse agent.
4 User settings 21 4.3 Rinse agent dosage If the drying resul t is unsatisfactor y, then the dosage can be switched off («Off» setting) or set to one of 9 levels. • If the dishes are still wet or there ar e water spots, set th e dosage to level 6 or higher.
4 User settings 22 4.4 Water hardness The built-in water softener removes limescale from the water, enabli ng problem-free cleaning. Automatic regene ration occurs at regular intervals, thus guaranteeing its ef fectiveness.

4 User settings 24 4.5 Hot water connection The available h ot water is used optimal ly. If the water intake is still too cold, a short pre-rinse is carried out.
25 5 Operation 5.1 Preparing the appliance Open the applia nce door ➤ Pull the door handle forwards. – Any programme that is r unning will be automatically interrupted. Before using for the firs t time ➤ Switch the power on. ➤ Turn the water tap on.
5 Operation 26 5.2 Loading the baskets ➤ Remove any coarse or h ard pieces of fo od or foreign objects left on the dishes. ➤ Make sure no toothpicks get into the applia nce. Toothpicks can cause the filter system to become clogged up. ➤ Dishes, pots and pans with heavily burned-o n food debris stuck to them should be soaked in water first.
5 Operation 27 5.3 Loading tips for the upper basket ➤ Pull the upper basket out as far as it will go and load. Arrange smaller i tems such as saucers, glasses, cups and dishes . ➤ If using foldable ra cks 1 , stagger the items so that the water can reach the dirty surfaces better.
5 Operation 28 Glass holders The glass holders 1 are particularl y suitable for tall gl asses. They can be folded down or up . ➤ Push the glass holders gently down or, alternativel y, pull them up until they engage. Racks The racks 1 can be used as glass holders.
5 Operation 29 Easy prongs The easy prongs 1 can be placed over the prongs anywhere in the basket. By using the easy prongs, drinking glasses, baby bottles, sports bottles, vases and carafes can be placed anywhere in the basket. Use 2 easy prongs for wider vessels.
5 Operation 30 Adjustable upper bas ket The height of the upper basket can be adjust ed to 3 levels by a total of approximately 4 cm. It can be inclined in various ways. Raising the upper ba sket ➤ Hold the upper basket at the sides by the grips 1 and raise it into the position required.
5 Operation 31 5.4 Loading tips for the lower basket ➤ Pull the lower ba sket out as far as i t will go and load. ➤ Load larger items such as plates, bowls, platters, pots and pans. ➤ Load wide dishes (soup p lates, lids, etc.) at the back on the right.
5 Operation 32 Easy prongs The easy prongs 1 can be placed over the prongs anywhere in the basket. By using the easy prongs, drinking glasses, baby bottles, sports bottles , vases and carafes can be p laced anywhere in the basket. Use 2 easy prongs for wider vessels.
5 Operation 33 Cutlery b asket The cutlery basket ma y be placed over th e easy prongs anywhere in the lower basket. ➤ Put cutlery loosely in the cutlery basket, with handle s pointing down.
5 Operation 34 5.5 Adding the detergent Powder ➤ Open the detergent dispenser by pushing the release catch in the direction of the arrow. ➤ Add the detergent to the detergent compartment. • For dosage, follow the d etergent manufacturer’s instructions.
5 Operation 35 Choice of detergent ➤ Only use detergent specially f ormulated for dish washers. • The detergent manufacturer’ s advice centre wi ll gladly help with any problems (e.g. detergent dosage). • Tabs may not dissolv e properly at a wash temper ature of 55 °C or lowe r, affecting the cleaning pe rformance of the ap pliance.

5 Operation 38 5.9 Saving additional functions When an additional function is saved, it is automatically active during programme selecti on. ➤ Hold the additional function button depressed for 5 seconds. – The selection is saved. ➤ Depress the button again for 5 seconds to clear the saved function.
5 Operation 39 5.10 Delayed start The delayed start allows you to wash during off-peak hours (e.g. at off-pe ak electricity rates). A dela yed start of between 1 an d 9 hours can be set. The delayed start duration last entere d is shown as a s uggestion.

5 Operation 41 5.13 End of programme At the end of the programme: – A 5× acoustic signal is emitted. – The operation indica tor on the glass pane l flashes fo r about 30 minutes (drying). – After drying, a l ong acoustic signal is emi tted. Unloadin g ➤ Unload the dish es or alternatively leave them in th e appliance until next needed.
42 6 Care and maintenance 6.1 Cleaning the interior Using the correct dos age of detergent will automatically clean th e interior of the appliance. We recommend cleaning the a ppliance twice a year with dishwasher cleaner. 6.2 Cleaning the exterior ➤ Do not use abrasiv e or highly acidic dete rgent.
6 Care and maintenance 43 6.3 Cleaning the filter system A dirty filter system ca n cause unsatisfa ctory cl eaning results and affect the water outlet. There fore, periodically check and clean th e filter system. ➤ Open the appliance door and pull out the lower basket.
6 Care and maintenance 44 6.4 Cleaning th e spray arms If the cleaning pe rformance is unsatisf actory or if dishwas her detergent is being left behi nd, then the nozzles i n the spray arms m ay be clogged. Upper spray arm ➤ Remove the upper basket.
6 Care and maintenance 45 6.5 Filling with regeneration salt When the supply of regeneration salt is exhausted, the refill indicator ill umi- nates during programme selectio n and at the end of th e programme. ➤ Open the appliance do or and pull out or remove the lower basket.
6 Care and maintenance 46 6.6 Filling with rinse agent Rinse agent prev ents water spot ting af ter final rinsing (rinsing with rinse agent). The rinse agent is d osed automatically from the re servoir in the appliance door.
6 Care and maintenance 47 6.7 C leaning the water inlet filter The built-in water inlet filter can become blocked by limescale deposits, rust or foreign objects. This can cause an error me ssage in which / alternate. ➤ Turn off the water tap. ➤ Unscrew the connection 1 using water pump pliers.
