INTRODUCTION Toshiba HD-C26H Digital High Definitio n Receiver opens up to a new world of free-to -air terrestrial HDTV (High Definition Television) and SDTV (Standard Definition Tele vision ) p rograms. The receiver can receive channels from both VHF and UHF bands.

20 (f) Composite vid eo connection : If your TV has com posite v ideo inputs, use the yellow conn ector of the Audio/Video cab le included in the HD-C 26H acc essory box. Connect the yello w video connector from “SD VIDEO OUT ” on the re ar of the rece iver to the cor respond ing jack on the TV.
21 STARTUP GUIDANCE 2 CONNECTING TO AMPLIFIER If you conn ect this rec eive r to an a udio am plifier eq uipped w i th a D olby® D igital deco der, use a n opt ical or coaxial digital cable (not s upplied) to c onnect f rom the receiver’s “DIGIT AL AUDIO OUT (Optical/Coaxia l)” to the digital aud io input of your am plifier.
22 STEP B: PREP ARING YOUR REMOTE CONTROL Loading batteries 1 . Open the Co ver. 2 . Insert two R 03 (AAA si ze) batteries. - Make sure to m atch the + a nd – signs on th e ba tteries to the m arks inside the batter y com partment. 3 . Close the co ver.

28 MENU MENU MAP Use the directiona l b uttons to na vigate through the m enu, “ENTER” b utton to ch oose s pecif ic items, and “E XIT” button to return to the m ain m enu from sub-menu or to leave the m ain menu.
29 FUNCTIONS MAIN MENU There are t wo ways to ente r the Main Me nu when th e receiver is powered on: 1. On th e rem ote control, press the “MEN U” button.
30 QUICK SCAN (For A ustra lia Only) The “QUICK SC AN” featur e allows you to scan all predefined digital TV and Radio chan nel signals in Australia.

33 FUNCTIONS 8. W hen download is com pleted, t he receiver will reboot autom atically. You can no w exit HyperTerm inal. 9. After the rece iver is booted up, you will see a message windo w inform ing you that th e r eceiver’s database is empty. Note tha t the password will also be r eset to the defau lt “0000”.
