13 CONNECTING YOUR TV English Controls and input connections A wide variety of external equipment can be connected to the input sock ets on the side of the television. While all the necessary adjustments and controls for the television are made using t he remote control, the buttons on the telev ision may be used for some functions .

15 English SETTING UP YOUR TV Startup Application Before switching on the TV make sure that your aerial is connected and any decoder / media recorder, if applicabl e is connected and in standby . a Press the 1 button. Toshiba logo will appear. and after that, The Menu Language screen will appear.

18 SETTING UP YOUR TV English With the exce ption of DTV Scan Type and DTV Modulation items, all of the fol lowing items will h ave 2 operatin g modes. The first is Auto where th e values for each i tem are preset by the system. The second is an Input mode w here you will be able to enter a single value in pl ace of the pre-set value.
19 SETTING UP YOUR TV English ATV Manual Tuning The television can be tuned-in manually using AT V Manual Tuning . For example, you might use the feature if the television cannot be connected to a media recorder/decoder with a SCART lead or when you want to tune-in a station on another System .

26 CONTROLS AND FEA TURES English Incoming video signals can either be in 2D or 3D format. A 2D signal can be viewed in either 2D or 3D, and 3D can be viewed in either 2D or 3D. If the TV can detect the fact that a signal i s 3D, it can change to 3D mode automatically – see “Setting the auto start mode” (on page 28).

82 English TEXT SERVICES Text services This television has a multi-page text memory, which takes a few moments to load. It offers two Modes of viewing text – Auto will display Fastext , if available. List will save your four favourite pages. The text character set will be automatically chosen by the language setting in the Setup menu.
