Over view myT alker ™ by T ekkeon is a Bluetooth gateway that enables you to make and receive calls from/to your mobile phone while you’re listening to your iPod or MP3 player . myT alker connects between your iPod or MP3 player and the music headsets, so you don’t need to remove your music headsets to take the call.

Setting Up myT alker Before using myT alker , you must: • Charge myT alker • Pair myT alker to your mobile phone • Connect myT alker to your iPod or MP3 player Directions for each of these activities are provided in the following three sections.
NOTE: When the battery is low (less than 10% capacity), the amber LED will flash. Pairing myT alker to Y our Mobile Phone Pairing is the process of linking a Bluetooth headset/gateway with your Bluetooth mobile phone. Before using myT alker with your mobile phone you must pair the devices.
T o Pair the Devices 1. T urn on the mobile phone and place it next to myT alker . 2. Initiate the Bluetooth device pairing (discovery) feature on the mobile phone.
T o Connect to a Paired Device 1. Follow the menu on the paired device to connect to myT alker . Y ou must be disconnected from all other paired devices with which myT alker is currently connected. T o Disconnect from a Paired Device 1. With myT alker connected to a paired device, follow the menu on the device to disconnect from myT alker .
Using myT alker Powering myT alker T o T urn On myT alker 1. Press and hold the POWER button until the blue LED flashes or until you hear the On tone (approximately four seconds). myT alker turns on and is placed in standby mode, ready to make and receive calls.
T o Make Calls Using Last Number Redial (if supported by your mobile phone) 1. Press and hold the myT alker T ALK button. The last number called from your mobile phone will be redialed. Y ou will continue to hear your iPod or MP3 player until the call begins to ring.
If the Call Waiting feature is supported by your phone, you can answer an incoming call while you are connected on another call. In this case, the connected call is placed on hold and the incoming call is connected. While both calls are connected, you can toggle between the calls.
T o T ransfer Calls from Y our Mobile Phone to myT alker 1. With the call connected to your mobile phone, press the myT alker T ALK button. The call will be connected to myT alker . T o T ransfer Calls from myT alker to Y our Mobile Phone (if supported by your phone) 1.
Muting myT alker Y ou can mute and unmute the microphone temporarily so that you cannot be heard by the connected party . T o Mute myT alker 1. With a call connected to myT alker , press the MUTE button. Y ou will hear a soft beep. T o Unmute myT alker 1.
Call Waiting T o Answer a Call Waiting Call (if supported by your mobile phone) 1. When you hear two beeps while connected on a call, press the ADD CALLER button. The original call will be placed on hold and the new call be will be connected. Y our phone will display the incoming and connected calls.
Visual and Audible Indicators Visual Indicators LED Status Indicates Blue LED flashes at two-second intervals myT alker is in standby mode, ready to make and receive calls. Blue and amber LEDs flash alternately myT alker is in pairing mode. Amber LED flashes every 32 seconds Battery is low.
T roubleshooting Issue Solution USER GUIDE 15 When you initiate the Bluetooth device pairing feature on your mobile phone, your phone cannot find myT alker . myT alker is not communicating with your mobile phone. Y ou are encountering poor reception via myT alker .
T roubleshooting (continued) Issue Solution 16 Call reject isn’t working. Call waiting isn’t working. Y ou cannot transfer a call from myT alker to your mobile phone. When you receive a call on your mobile phone, the call is not automatically connected to myT alker after you press the T ALK button.
T roubleshooting (continued) Issue Solution USER GUIDE 17 Even though myT alker is turned on, the call is not automatically connected to myT alker when you dial a number on your mobile phone. Y ou hear a crackling noise when connected on a call through myT alker .
Limited Warranty The product enclosed herein is warranted to be free of operational defects for a period of one year from the date of purchase. In the event of a defect in operation during the warranty period T ekkeon, Inc. will replace the defective product when the owner returns all product contents.
