17 Before you start recording, make sure that you understand th e follow ing poi nts: U p t o 9 9 t r a c k s c a n b e r e c o r d e d a c c o r d i n g t o t h e C D s t a n d a r d s . < When a 1 00 th track is about to be recorded, recording wil l stop automatically.
18 Recording ( 2 ) S -L VL- 60/ 50/40/30 (The t rack nu mbers a re auto matic ally added) The auto track func tion activ a tes and “ A-TRACK” appears. The displayed number indicates the increment level. The tr ack numbers are automa tically added during recording.
19 Play the sourc e to be recorded and adjus t the recor ding level so that the loudest sound does not e x ceed the “OVER ” indicat or on the peak level meter . The level c an be adjusted as follows: When the POWER but ton or the S top ( <H ) button is pr essed, the recording level is r eset to 0 dB.
20 S ynchronous Recording The convenien t sy nchr onous recordi ng func tion automatical ly star ts recording when rece iving analo g or digital s ignals from an ex ternally connec t ed dev ic e such as a CD player and MD deck, and s t ops recording when signal rece ption is complete.
21 Fi na li ze Finalizing is a process of writing the TOC data ( recorded data ) to a disc. Finalized CD- Rs can be played with other CD players. No more track s can be recorded on a f inaliz ed CD -R . Finalized CD -RWs can be played with other compatible CD players.
22 Erasing the Last T rack ( CD- R W) 1 Load a re corded CD -RW. 2 Pres s the ER ASE bu tton i n the st op mode. “ERA SE ” and the last tr ack number appear on the display . Y ou can simultaneously erase multiple track s, from the sele cted one to the last one.

24 Erasing A ll T rack s In Refresh Mode ( CD -RW) 3 Pres s the Play ( y ) but ton to s tart e rasin g. All track s will be erased. The tim e required appears on the display . When the op eration has been f ini shed, th e di splay returns to the track /time display .
