1 Introduction 3 1.1 At a Glance Camera The cam era is an integrated part of the unit and is centrall y placed just above the monitor. On the Uti lity MXP it is possible to close the cam era (for privacy) by sliding across a door. Monitor The Digital LCD displa y s the f ar-end videoconferenc ing site in a ddition to the menu.

3 General Use 15 3 General Use Wake up the system W hen the system is not in use, it is i n standb y mode and the sc reen is black . W ake up the system by picking up the handset. An incom ing call or pr essing an y key on the Com pass MXP will a lso wake up the s ystem.

3 General Use 19 3.3 Using the Remote Control The Utility MXP is only controlled b y the handset a nd from the far end. The s ystem is not designed to be contr olled b y a remote control accessible to th e user. The rem ote control is o nly for s y stem setup and maint enance b y authorized personnel.

3 General Use 23 3.4 On-screen Indicators The system has a number of icon s signaling diff erent sett ings: Microph one Off This indicator is sho wn when the micr ophone is turned of f. Press the Mic off button again to turn the micr ophone back on, see Mic Off for details.
