P airing Pairing Instructions Y ou might have already noticed that there is no channel switch on the camera – so, how do you assign the cameras to the channel you want? The answer is “pairing”. Pairing, in a nutshell, is a process which associates one camera with one channel, hence “pairing” them together .
8 8 Using the Menus When you open the Main Menu , you will see the following four categories, each containing several options. Here’ s a quick rundown of what you’ll see. Pairing This is where you pair cameras with channels in the r eceiver . See page 7 for more details.
R ecording Modes The ADW-400 Receiver offers two r ecording modes, Motion Recording and Schedule Recording . Both of these can be used together - that is, the receiver can always be ready to record on motion, and also record constantly for a certain period each day .

12 12 Using the Software Settings Date / Time Here you can update the date and time settings in the r eceiver to the correct values. The receiver will retain date and time information if turned off and on again, or if power is disconnected for a short time.
Resolution Resolution refers to how many pixels (individual dots which together make up an image) the receiver will recor d. Ther e are two settings: low and high. High resolution r ecords at VGA quality (640 x 480 pixels) and is the suggested setting.
14 14 Using the Software Playback & Backup There ar e two ways of playing back footage fr om the ADW-400 receiver . The first is through the receiver itself, and the second (possibly more useful option) is to remove the SD car d and insert it into a card reader attached to a computer .
Playback & Backup on a Computer: Playback on a PC has some significant advantages over playing back footage on the receiver itself. Generally , computer playback offers a higher resolution monitor than most TVs, and the video quality does not suffer from being transmitted via a composite video signal.
16 16 Additional Features Quad View: In Quad View mode, you’ll be able to see images from up to four cameras on screen at once. For this to function optimally , you’ll need: Four ADW-400 cameras, • connected to power , • and each correctly pair ed to each of the four channels.
Recording Time: If you were to manually set the ADW-400 to recor d constantly , how long will it recor d for? Under ideal conditions, the ADW-400 uses a minimum of 8MB of space per minute of recor ding.
18 18 T roubleshooting Guide Problem: I’m getting a “NO SIGNAL” message on my scr een where I want to see my images. Solutions: Make sure the camera is getting power fr om the supplied 5V power adaptor . 1. Ensure that the camera is pr operly paired with the receiver by following the 2.
