19 4. Se tting up th e DVR The follow ing sections det ail the ini tial setup o f the DVR . M enu screen wil l close if user input is not receiv ed in 5 minutes . 4-1. Setup – Main Live S creen T o enter t he setup menu, right click on the mouse and select setup fr om the submenu or press t h e setup button on the remo te control.
20 4-2. Setup – SYSTEM Mode In the SETUP menu, select the SYSTEM tab. Then, the SYS TEM menu is displayed as pictur ed below . Navigate through the menu items using t he mouse or the remote control and chan ge the val ue of the menu item. Figure 4.2.
21 DA TE DISPLA Y FORMA T Select the date display format using t he mouse or the control button on the r e mote control. Options are: MM/DD /YYYY , YYYY/MM/DD, DD/MM /YYYY , YYYY - MM -DD, MM - DD -YY.

24 RESOLUT I ON Select D1, Half D1 or CIF using the mouse or the control button on the remote control . FRA ME RA TE Set the frame r a te for the specified channel. The sum of the frame rate values from each channel cannot exceed the maximum fr ame r a tes f o r a specific recordin g resolution.

Select CHANN EL > select NONE, CON TINUOUS or MO TION > HIGHL IGHT AREA T o copy a schedu le to a dif f erent channel, select the channel from the COPY SCHEDULE menu.

27 SENSIT IVITY Control the motion sen sitivity from 1 to 9. (9 – Highest sensi tivity , 1 – Lowest sensi tivity) KEY T ONE Enable/disabl e key tone. REMOTE CONTR OL ID Set the remote con trol ID. 1. Select ID. 2. Input the remote con trol ID number.
28 4-4-2. Keyboard Controller & PTZ Setup T o control the PTZ functions of the camera, connect the PTZ controller to t he RS-485 port on the back of the chassis w ith CA T5 (or equiv alent) cable. ① C onnect the RS-485 cables o f PTZ camera to the RS-485 port on the rear panel .
29 Note : Connect PTZ cameras that support RS-485 directly t o the RS - 485 port. If the camera is controlled through an RS-232C interface, use a n RS -232C t o RS -485 to RS- 232C si gnal converter .
30 4-4-4. Motion Zone Setup Select MOTION ZONE using the mouse or the control button on the remote control and select eithe r P AR T IAL ZONE or FULL ZONE u sing the mouse con trol. The default value is FULL ZONE . If FULL ZONE is selecte d, the motion zone grid screen is not display ed.

43 5. Li v e, Search and Playback 5-1. Live View In the Live screen, video input s from the cameras are display ed as they are configured in the Display S etup screen. V arious On-Screen Display (OSD) symbols, which indicate the status of the DVR, are described in T able 5.
44 Indicates that a network cli ent is connected to the DVR . Indicates that se quencing mode is enabled. Displays the cu rrent date and time. RC: ALL Remote control ID display . If a remote ID is not set, the message “ALL” is display ed. Displays the a mount of r ecording on the hard disk from 0- 99 %.

52 6. Back Up 6-1. Still Image Backup onto USB Flash Dri ve S till images can b e captured and archiv ed onto a USB flash drive or an external hard drive in live mode or while playing back recorded video. In the live mode, press t he BACKUP button to launch the archive function or select BACK UP menu on the screen using the mouse.
53 3. Select USB S TICK (Flash Driv e) to bac k up less than an hou r . Select USB HDD (Huge B ackup) to back up from 1 hour to 24 hou r s. 4. Once you select the channel and duration, the system will start to a rchive the data to the USB f lash drive.
