12 Step 1: Instal ling the Projecto r The pro jector dis plays pi ctures output fro m a VCR or oth er device. The len s shift al lows you to ha ve broad er options for pla cing the p rojecto r and viewin g pictur es eas ily.

14 The installation distance between the projector and a screen varies depending on the size of the screen. 1 Determine the installatio n positi on of t he projector and screen. You can obtain a good quality picture if you position the projector with the center of the lens within the areas indicated in the gray areas in the illustration.

17 Connec tions and Prepa rations Step 2: Connecting the Projector When making conn ections, be sure to do the follo wing: • Turn off all equ ipment be fore making any connec tions. • Use the proper cables for each connection. • Insert the cable plugs properly; poor c onnection at the p lugs may cause a m alfunction or poor picture quality.
18 To connect to a DVD player/recorder and Blu-ray Disc player equipped with HDMI output You can enjoy better picture quality by connecting a DVD player/recorder and Blu-ray Disc player equip ped wit h HDMI o utput to the H DMI inpu t of th e proje ctor.

25 Connec tions and Prepa rations Step 4: Selecting the Menu Lang uage You can sele ct one o f 16 lang uages for disp layin g the men u and o ther on -screen disp lays. The factory default setting is English. To change the current menu language, set the desired language with the menu screen.

33 Projecting Adjustin g the Picture Qu ality You can adjust the picture quality that suits your taste b y selecting the adjustment items with the remote control. The adjusted data can be stored in each picture mode. To adjust contrast and brightness Press CONTRAST +/– on the remote control to adjust the contrast.

35 Projecting Adjustin g the Picture Usin g Real Color Processing The Real Color Processing (RCP) feature allows you to adjust the color and hue of each target of the projected picture you specify independently. You can thus obtain a picture more suitable to your taste.

58 4 Loosen the three screws on th e lamp with the Phillips screwdriver. Hold up the cover release lever, then pull the lam p straight out. 5 Ensure you push th e new lamp all the way, then securely tighten tho se three screws on the lamp. Put the cover release lever back.
