8 What is a Video Ca ssette Recorde r/DVD Re corder? This is a DVD recorder with b uilt-in VHS vide o deck, and all ows recording/ playback of DVD discs and VHS tapes. DVD editing is als o possible. Recording and timer re cording Reco rd TV pr ogram s on a DVD or V HS tape , either ma nually or using the timer.

24 Step 4: Conne cting to Your AV Am plifier (R ecei ver) Select one of th e follow ing patte rns A or B , according to th e input jack on your AV amplif ier (receiv er). This will enable you to l isten to DVD audio tracks through y our AV amplifie r (receiver).

71 VCR Playback Adjusting the pi cture (tracking) You can man ually adjust t racking if the record ing quality is too poor to be remedied by the VCR’s automatic tracking ( a tracking meter appears during t he automatic tr acking). Press TRACK ING +/–.

73 VCR Playback Search ing Usin g Variou s Funct ions The VCR automaticall y marks the tap e with an index s ignal at the poi nt where e ach re cord ing begins . You ca n easil y find a specifi c point using va rious search funct ions. Note During DVD recording , you cannot use VCR search functions.
