19 Gettin g Started • The /CHG (charge) lamp flashes during charging, or Batt ery Info (p. 17) will not be correctly displayed under the following conditions: – The battery pack is not attached correctly. – The battery pack is damaged. – The battery pack is worn-out (For Battery Info only).

21 Gettin g Started charge the built-in rechargeable battery and then set the date and time again (p. 105). • It takes a few seconds for your camcorder to be ready to shoot after the power is turned on. You cannot operate your camcorder during this time.

31 Recordin g/Playback You can magnif y images up to 15 times the origin al size with the power zoom lever or the zoom buttons on the L CD frame. Move the power zoom lever sl ightly for a slower zoom . Move it furthe r for a faster zoom. b Not es • Be sure to keep your finger on the pow er zoom lever.
32 When you press QUICK ON, the camcord er goes to sleep m ode (pow er saving mode ) instead of turn ing off. Th e QUICK O N lamp keeps fl ashing during slee p mode. Pr ess QU ICK ON ag ain to start recording next time. Y our cam corder returns to record ing standby in approxi mately 1 secon d.
33 Recordin g/Playback To adj ust th e expo sure fo r backl it su bjects, press . (back li ght) to display . on the screen. To cancel the ba ck light func tion, press . (back l ight) ag ain. Open th e LCD pane l 90 degree s to the camcorde r ( 1 ), th en rotate it 180 degrees to the lens side ( 2 ).
